Totally, that’s what I’m hoping. I’m sure OEMs plot these things years in advance and I’m hoping the sort of recent 7 wood boom started early enough for Titleist to get a lefty version in the upcoming lineup. I really like Titleist fairway woods and am looking for a slightly deeper-faced 7 wood than my G425.

But having them hit retail in december means that retailers make a killing during winter months when most golfers (other than those of us in the southern US, or other warmer countries) are going crazy indoors and easily justify buying new toys...

Titleist does a better job than most companies of offering a decent number of options for lefties. I’m just salty because it seems like all the clubs I really want are righty-only. I’d love to have a Rogue ST LS 16.5, a TSi2 7 wood and a Mizuno Fli-Hi 4 utility iron as the long end of my bag, but I’m 0-for-3 on being able to get those.

You can find an older Fli-hi on eBay, that's what I did for a 21*! Worth it.

I enjoy the year-round golf.  Then again, we do have a rain season (right now), when its a coin-flip on whether you finish your round before the storms roll in....

on a separate note, I hit the TSi2 3 wood yesterday with Tensei White shaft and it is unreal

They bring their staffers to HQ, get feedback, tweak, and get fully fit.   It's one thing to do that for their roughly 100 tour staff.   It's another thing to get enough heads for fitting carts outfitted and sent to their reps and dealers.   And especially in the current environment, having enough to meet the initial orders is an even bigger deal.

 

Why would they wait when they can let their staffers create a little hype?   

 

This isn't limited to golf gear.   In most sports, the pros get first dibs on the stuff that will be released to the masses next season.   Car companies put out teasers or photos of pre or early production before ramping up production.

I play the TSI2 Driver/Wood both with Tensei White. Great combo

Pretty telling. Obviously an overgeneralization, and I’m sure this isn’t accurate, but it seems like Titleist has got almost all of its staff, and many other pros who previously were using TSi drivers, into a TSr. Perhaps equally as significantly, they also seem to have got a number of players into one or more new woods. Anecdotally, I don’t remember so many being so quick to switch to the TSi clubs.

With 57 drivers (36% of the field at the KFT) that shows the vastg majority have switched over to the TSR

Only hit the Tensei blue in the driver once, so I need more time with that but I assume I will end up in the white.

White in the 3 wood is just a monster though
