Sure, totally get that but the 1K Black just seemed to be getting more negative feedback as I read the comments here.

I think the Hzrdus Black 4G is the other most viable non-up charge shaft for the fairways after the 1K Black but I thought the weight class options for my flex (6.0) weren’t, maybe, quite right at “70” = 68g (too light perhaps?) and “80” = 80g (too heavy maybe?) given my 96-98mph s/s.

weight is subjective but I love how 80g feels in my woods, I even use it in my driver.  I dunno how much it impacts speed but I can't imagine it's that much

Has anyone put the Stealth plus 3 wood up against the TSR3 3 wood? I did see the TXG review. I found some good deals in the Stealth plus. Wonder if the TSR3 is better or same. How is the TSR3 off the deck? Should I match my TSR3 driver with the wood or go Stealth? Help please

I haven’t hit the TSR3 3 wood but I’m curious about the same thing. My stealth plus is a bomber and I have a hard time thinking it could beat it out unless turf interaction is just that much better. The TXG video was very interesting though making it seem like it was almost a toss up any given day.

Still waiting on my TSR2 15* to be built. I went into the store today and hit the demo with the 1k Black. Man, so easy to launch. I generally have a hard time hitting 3 wood high enough so have been playing 16.5 3HL versions. This thing is pretty similar, but at 15*.  Can't wait to get my order and hit it outside. Very pleasing sound/feel. Different than the 3 version but both are very nice.

I hit the TSR3 with an AV Raw Blue 75TX vs my Stealth+ w/ Ventus 7X, so not exactly head to head, but the Stealth+ has an extra level, it's truly nuclear off the tee.

How is the Stealth + off the deck for you?

By no means the highest launching 3 wood I've ever hit but it's extremely playable. Had the TSi2 in the bag for the past two seasons and it felt like cheating it was so easy to hit off the deck. Went to the Stealth+ because I rarely hit a 3 wood into a green and I wanted the distance off the tee. TSR3 3 wood is really really good though, more spin and a hair more launch than the Stealth+ for me.

I had a similar experience to the TXG video between my Stealth+ and the R3. The Stealth+ is just longer off the tee. The R3 spins a little more and launches a little higher, especially off the ground. I think the R3 looks and feels better. The one I tested had a little whistle from the weight track when I tested it, which was a off putting. The R2+ was the only new Titleist fairway that could keep up with my Stealth+ in terms of ball speed and overall distance.

i guess it depends on what you use your 3 wood for when you play. If you need something off the ground, look into the R3. If you need another tee option and occasionally hit it off the ground, stick with the Stealth+ or try the R2+.

Yeah so my 3wood duty is another tee option for the straight and narrow. With an occasional hit into a green. Mostly my longest into the green I get after is with my trusty 7wood. Seems like the Stealth+ will not have much stopping power but plenty of roll out with a tee shot!
I seen some people say the Stealth+ sounds like crap. Is that the case or is it just a different muted thump with the composite material. I have seen some decent ones one eBay with the RedRDX xflex

I played the OG Sim Ti for 3 years. Very similar to Stealth. The R3 is a more versatile club but nothing beats the TM for tee length….until the 2+. They are very similar in distance and the 2+ is easier to launch from the fairway for me. If you’re going with 1 fairway, it’s R3 all day. I think I have found the best combo though with the 2+ and the 16.5 2 or 3.

Yeah I'm gonna try to resist even testing the TSR2 7W. My G425 Max is so, so easy to hit. I like the look and the face height of the TSR2s much better ... but if it ain't broke...

I wouldn’t say the Stealth+ fairway sounds like “crap”. It’s neither bad nor great, just okay. There are definitely worse sounding clubs out there. The titanium and composite in a smaller package than a driver seems to have a different ring to it.

Full disclosure, I really wanted to like the R3 for a 3 wood because of the way it looked and felt. I just couldn’t get the performance out of it that I needed for my game. I did get it in a 5 wood because I use that as a more versatile club, which the R3 is.

Friend of mine had a 13* stealth+ for a little while so tried it on the range a few times, definitely a different sound/feel even over the sim2 TI for example but wasnt that bad imo, I prefer the feel of sim2 ti over it though sound was more 'cracky' than sim2 but couldve just been the pebbles we were hitting for range balls, with a decent premium ball I'd imagine it's perfectly fine; performance was crazy though, if you want a bomber off the tee they're definitley worth looking at. I currently play TSi3 15* with Ventus black 7X, not in love with the feel of the head tbh, that and I've had 4 heads replaced that have cracked on the range, if the latest one cracks may just swap it our for the TSR version as i prefer the full scoreline look and hopefully it feels better than TSi.

Biggest thing I noticed on course was how forgiving surprisingly the toe biased shots were. The face is hot across the face! Will be in my bag for a long time I imagine.

I went with the 2 because on bad driving days I tend to just be all over the face ... but I did notice the exact same thing as you when testing the 3. Toe shots that I feared would just be no-spin duck hooks were remarkably stable and straight. I don't have enough experience with the 3 to draw super-firm conclusions but that, to me, seemed like that head's superpower.

I realize my experience continues to be anecdotal, but I agree with you. Felt like a couple attempted overswing situations where I was trying to hit big draw I had same experience.

Moved from Ping LST 425 with Ventus 6TX to Titleist TSR3 with Diamana PD 6TX. I’m somewhat wild off the tee. Play at a +2 and SS is 115-118 mph. Received TSR3 last week and was reluctant to switch right before a tourney. Played 9 holes and 1 range session with it before the St Pete City Am. Round 1 Hit 12 of 14 fairways with 8 using driver—7 out of 8 with driver hit and shot 69. Kind of an anti-left club for me. Second day was similar driving in tougher wind. Looks, feel with titleist better. Biggest thing I noticed on course was how forgiving surprisingly the toe biased shots were. The face is hot across the face! Will be in my bag for a long time I imagine.

Same for me, biggest improvement I've found with the TSR3 vs the Stealth Plus driver has been the stability on toe shots. I basically live around the T1 weight spot on the R3 and I'm not getting the knuckle ball left going left toe shots that I was getting w/ the Stealth+.

I have TSR3 and after switching from Hulk to RDX Blue my strike moved from heel to slightly toe. Popped the back weight in T1 and just hitting very nice tiny draws on toe strikes that go forever. No knuckle balls going left and losing 40 yards. Not sold on RDX Blue yet, but had a nice range session today and it is very good for me.

Same if it ain’t broke…..but shiny new is tempting. Having all TSR from driver through woods would be nice too

Right on. Right shaft with this driver is money for me as well!

For those of you that have seen both and hit both, what to you think of the R2 vs R3 16.5* fairway?  I prefer a deeper face as I tend to "pop-up" shallow face fairways.  Looks, feel, sound, forgiveness all matter.  I hit the R3 driver better than the R2 but worried about forgiveness though I am a good ball striker.  Any help with either would be much appreciated.  Thinking about Ventus for the shafts, though GD interests me.  I broke my hand during a fitting and have not been able to demo.

I just hit these earlier today. The titleist rep said he sees people hit the 3 with slightly lower launch and spin.

My launch and spin numbers were actually pretty similar for both, but I got 5 yds more out of the 3 on avg and had a tighter dispersion with it. It also suited my eye better.
