I think the OG T1100 Hzrdus in 6.5 is  the TX but the black in the driving iron is a much softer profile than some of the other driving iron/hybrid shaft offerings.

I thought he had a chance at finishing decent when I saw the mini driver in the bag. Then I saw the 10 degree gap between the 50 and 60 degree wedge and realized he doesn't have a chance.

I think it’s more that he has questioned a lot of the game’s norms and pissed off the traditionalists by doing so.

Yeah. I started golfing the weekend before his US Open win. After watching and studying him over the past few years it seems like his distance chase worked best because he was already such a straight ball hitter (both with irons and driver). All his 2018-2019 skill bled into the initial push for distance which may be why he was so good, culminating with the US Open. Returning to 2018-2019 skills/processes would be cool to see.

Aside from the difference between a big picture of one's self and a name, I think the case can be made that a ball makes sense when you are looking to identify it when potentially lost. If Bryson loses his towels that much, there may be a bigger problem at play!

Sure, and like when he won at Winged Foot it was because his extreme bomb and gouge approach was viable on that type of course. How he stacks up against others these days though has been a sharp regression since he bulked up and placed everything on driving and putting:



Datagolf is super helpful here. 2018-2019 Bryson was basically Max Homa from a skill standpoint. 2020 was the peak of the distance gain experiment and it's been a sharp decline ever since, hence the Nicolai Hojgaard comparison:



Bryson obiviously has the advantage of a much higher potential ceiling since he's been there before, but he is rebuilding right now and his game is easily outside the top 50 at the moment.
