These two irons are amazing.

If I had to nitpick between the two, the srixon's are a littler on the lower side for spin and I get insanely high ball speed numbers with the pings.

Both feel and look incredible.

Blueprint S, to replace my beloved S55. I'll have a combo set with the T's before mid-summer to replace what's currently in the bag. The ZX7's are wonderful irons but I get more life out of PING. Now I know that last part doesn't mean a lot here at WRX but I logged 255 rounds in '23, and I hate changing irons during the season.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

I hit the mizuno's and idk, mizuno's to me at least just don't have the feel they use to have. At least compared to other irons now.

Years ago I heard all the time "nothing feels like a mizuno." I think that has sort of run its course because I'm seeing and hearing less about mizuno's.

Fair fair, well if I had to pick one of your options and you're asking WRX to pick one, my vote is the Srixons

Blueprint S for me right now, had Srixon before with the 785 but they fly way too high for me. Hit the Blueprint S recently and love them.

Id have to agree with the looks comment. I've had the MKii ZX7 and had the memory in my head that they looked really good and they performed really well. After seeing the BPS in person and comparing directly, I really don't like the look of the zx7. BPS all day.

Ping's all the way.  I love how the Blue print T look and feel and would game them in a heart beat.  Maybe do a combo set and have the S in the long irons and T's in the mid and short irons.

This is a big differentiator between the two.  I need the V-sole, but I understand why others don't get along with it.

Which has better turf interaction?

I own these two exact models and have been testing in our home sim for the past two weeks. DG120 S in the Blueprint S and SF i95cw S in the ZX7. Lofts are standard in both sets. I was on the fence about the BPS and decided to have lie angles adjusted yesterday. Holy cow what a difference. They now certainly feel better to me than the ZX7’s. Also seeing tighter dispersion and about 5 yards longer per club with the BPS. Again, all on my home sim and different shafts, but I give the nod to the BPS.

Side note: there’s a lot of miles in between those courses. You in the natural gas business?

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming, I’d pick the BPS. ZX7 looks great but too low spin for me.

I have both. Both 7 irons at 33* same shaft, hitting on gc quad got same exact numbers. Personally, I always thought that the new zx7 looked a little off. Tthe zx5 look nicely proportioned at address as do the z forged, but the zx7 looks short and thick and I just never loved the look. It’s like they put the zx5 top line on a z forged blade length. That’s really the only thing that I didn’t like. Bps…no gripes so far, maybe a hair small for me.
