Looked at Getty Images to see what Rodgers shirt looked like. It is more t-shirt style than a mock neck. Rory from time to time wears a button up t-shirt style Nike top. The last few years the PGA Tour has relaxed it's dress code. It's great to see. Especially the faux anger from some that usually follows LOL!

I just saw Matt Wallace, coming off of Birdie on the 14th hole to put him at -6 and T3, hit a 176-yard smothered 3-wood off the tee on the 15th.

It would seem no one is immune, lol. The smothered 3-wood is my second place pbfu shot, right behind the chili dip after I hit the longest drive of my day. Of course, I would estimate these gems of the golf swing occur less frequently with Wallace.

I’d bet my life that there isn’t a single member on this board that gets their Costco jeans in a twist over anything “different” whose stomach wouldn’t make us turn away in that last “shirt”. Best to leave it on the runway! 😂

They showed Grillo cold-topping a fairway wood into a bunker yesterday. Though it was a tough stance as he was standing in the bunker while they ball was outside it.

 

He had also topped a wood back at Pebble a few weeks ago, making all us hackers feel so much better. 🤣

Where are these commentators digging up this stuff about Välimäki’s favorite food 😄 Salmon soup is a very Finnish food though, so makes sense.

 

T1 surpasses my expectations by a mile. It’s a treat to see a Finnish player featured so heavily on a PGA Tour broadcast. Hopefully he can keep rolling for the entire tournament and not have a blow up day like he did at Phoenix.

 

It’s a bit weird to have the commentators constantly refer to him as the big guy but I guess it’s just me.

 

Have to say that if I wasn’t this invested in the tournament because of Välimäki, I would probably be struggling to focus. This field is just plain uninteresting.

Earlier in the broadcast they mentioned that he looked 6’4” to them but that he’s only 6’2”. 6’2” and husky is considered big on the PGAT. If he didn’t have the paunch they would have anointed him an NFL LB by now.

Don't forget Brooks is a linebacker at 6'0 215 with a 5.1 40 according to announcers.

Van Rooyen fought it hard today. Should have left the joggers in the suitcase, but he is still up there. We will see what the weekend brings for the curse. Does he dare chance it on Sunday.

Should be an exciting weekend with guys seeking that win that could change everything. Knapp is really damn good he could have shot 61 today but missed a few short birdie putts. Also pulling for Valimaki who should have been a hockey player but is instead a really good golfer.
