Alright yall ... it's past midnight in Augusta so as far as I'm concerned, it's officially Masters week!

Scheffler is the deserved favourite.

Sleeper is Jason Day who has been in reasonable form and plays fantastic at Augusta and at 41-1 is a solid bet.

I'd love to see Tyrrell Hatton win and at 81-1 is pretty good odds but I wont put money on him, but love to see him contend.

Dark Horse at great value is Adrian Meronk, he's 251-1 and you'd think Augusta should be perfect for his game. Long and a pretty good putter.

I might have a small dabble on Day and Meronk.

Cant wait. Might not be the best major but certainly my favourite and I'll watch every second of it.

Hideki has quietly put together the third most impressive body of work this year behind Niemann and Scheffler.  Since he is a past champion and in-form, I have a feeling he will be in contention and expect the other two to be as well

 

Will be interesting to see Bhatia "sling it baby" all around Augusta.  Hard not to see him as a more mature (for his age) version of a young Bubba.

Wyndham has either cheated or attempted to cheat in the last 4 events he has played in, plus lied about it when asked. NO ONE on any tour has done more to disrespect the integrity of the game recently than he has. I can't even begin to imagine why you think he is a decent guy.

Adding my voice to the many excited golf WRXers, my favorite week in sports. 
 

I realize Rahm is the defending champion, but I’m hoping we and the media can make this more about the tournament, the classic course, the inevitable small changes, the incredible flowers and foliage, the Sunday roars, the birdies and eagles, the tradition, and maybe even the accursed pimento cheese, and less about the LIV.

I turned YouTube TV back on last night. It's my unofficial beginning of spring, it will stay on until the end of college football season. Got 2 tickets for Saturday again this year, supposed to be 76 & sunny. Last year it was low 40s & poured rain the entire time we were there. Did not know you could be so miserable on a golf course...

I had to look Pierogi up to see what it was. I'd never heard of it. Polish dumplings with cheesy mashed potatoes. Sounds tasty.

The dumplings can be filled with anything.  Was in Canada hunting many years ago and went into town in the evening for a community potluck and someone had prepared venison pierogi --- it was incredible.  Only time I'ver ever had it but really good.

Actually, traditional pierogi fare is either sauerkraut filling or mashed potato with farmer's cheese - I'm Polish and will eat them anytime anywhere.  🙂

Pierogies are good. Ones with sauteed onions are excellent.

 

Lentils are nauseating including their stench. I can only imagine what a kitchen might be like where lentil stew was slow-cooked all day.

 

Switching topics within a topic while remaining on-topic, do forumites recall ANGC/Masters being hesitant/ambivalent about the use of the tracer ribbon during broadcasts?

 

I seem to recall one year that Sky's coverage included use of the ribbon while CBS did not. I don't know if it was a directive from the Club, if the technology or licensing wasn't yet available etc.

The greatest week of golf (for me) is finally here.  Cant wait until Thursday😃

This is the only Sunday of the year for me and my boys playing golf takes a backseat to watching.

 

We're usually home in time to see the leaders play on Sunday but even with an early T time it's a no go for this week.

 

As a genuine sports nut this is by far, my most fav sporting event of the year.

There is nothing in sports like this week. Hoping for an exciting, competitive tournament.

 

I think Sunday will see Scheffler, Koepka, and Rahm near the top but, I'm going with an unpopular prediction and picking Rory. He has been streaky this year, but it comes together this week.
