No they mentioned last week he changed his diet and feels better...lost over 20 lbs. Conversely they were just talking about Dufner playing better with a gut again. Sigh.....

We Talked about this on another thread last week. He says he just "gave up sugar" and lost a bunch of weight very fast.

He looks skeletal to me. Definitely doesn't look healthy. I wonder if there's a bit more to it than no sugar?

I don't think so...there are so many names for sugar and it is in everything boxed or juiced or otherwise. Everyone was saying Brady looks sick after he revealed his strict diet prior to SB.

Yeah I gave up fast food and pop for like a 6 month period of time and lost something stupid like 25-30 in the first month then it just settled after that. Right now, I gave up meat for lent and trying to have no pop either (I have had a couple times) and have lost some weight.

If absolute scary the stuff they allow to be put in our food.

I lost 24 pounds over a 5-year period by adjusting what I ate. When I went cold turkey on sugar, I lost the remaining toughest 5 pounds around my waist. I wasn't working out but 1-2 times a week. Everyone that saw me (relatives) that I had not seen in awhile thought I was sick. I told them I never felt better in my life! :) Brady was the inspiration for my football-crazed son-in-law to finally get a physical. He was afraid of what the tests would reveal. I could have told him he was pre-diabetic but my daughter would not have liked that. Truth is harsh, but can be liberating once you accept it.

The thing is, he's wearing the same size shirts as before and they're hanging off him.

Looks like he could get two necks in those collars now.

What's also noticeable is his clubhead speed is down a bit. He's obviously still LONG, but he's a few mph below where he used to be. Definitely not the big man on campus he used to be.

Odd that you'd open your own candy store and then give up sugar.

I remember when David Duval had a bit of a paunch...and he played outstanding golf. He then got all buffed out and didn't do so well. I don't know if there is a correlation, but perhaps one plays better with a certain body type as opposed to another?

Thought the same thing about Webb... dude was taking some practice swings and all of his skeleton was showing through the back of his shirt.... creepy looking.

He needs to replace that sugar with some protein. He looks like a human coat hanger.

peoples perception what is healthy isnt so healthy

We are not suppose to be fat. He's fine. Our perception is warped because most of us have too many clubs in the bag.

I highly doubt the professionals he is working with know less in regards to his regiment than those who "think he looks unhealthy."

It's great that Bubba changed his diet to omit the sugary foods he was eating, and lost weight as a result. But he needs to get into the gym and put some muscle on to get in better shape, and strengthen his body against injury especially as violently as he swings. Don't think he'll have a very long career if he doesn't get in better shape and I'm surprised his former pro basketball player wife hasn't indicated the same thing. Hope he stays healthy and not just thin.

I wonder how many short knockers will start turning to sugar rushes for that extra 15yards for which they've yearned for so long.

Bubba is fine. His clubhead speed may be down a bit because he has less weight to utilize for power. Justin Thomas weighs 150 and no one says anything about him. We are just used to seeing a "bubba" type Bubba and now we have a "healthy" Bubba. I am sure he probably gave up fried chicken and a few bud lights too.

Doesnt look too extreme to me. Maybe I need a side by side like one of those magic weight loss pill infomercials.

Hope he figures it out at the Masters. Be great to see him on the first page of the leader board this year.
