He said the same thing in several interviews at the start of the year and he believes the biggest problem is the 40 second rule is never enforced apart from that time at Augusta.

If established, well thought of players would out these brutally slow guys, then maybe the tour would take some action. Even 40 seconds is an eternity when you know exact yardage, where the pin is, and can execute the planned shot.

The 40-second rule is only enforced when a group is behind. How far behind was Koepka's group?

No idea if they were ever on the clock but he was talking in general terms about the slow play issue. He also talked about it after DeChambeau came under fire for his slow play on the ET in the Middle East at the start of this season.

A little gamesmanship from JB? He had to know slow play would get under his skin

I don't know JB but can't stand watching him play. But as long as the PGA doesn't enforce time rules it's their fault..

Good on Koepka for saying something. So frustrating to watch, and even more so to play alongside.

Anyone watch Kevin Maas at the WSOP final table last week? And hear his comments? Some people are extremely selfish. Until rules get changed and penalties enforced, expect nothing to change.

That makes sense because when I watched him he didn't seem slow to me. But I see now where the problem is. I read once where Nicklaus had a similar problem when he first came on tour. He said he was trying to be respectful and not disturb his partners. That's why he wouldn't start anything until it was his turn. So one day Jack got called on that by some head of the tour and he adjusted. Maybe that's all JB needs?

Holmes has been on tour for 15 years. No way he doesn’t know proper procedure and etiquette. He just thinks it helps him play better so he doesn’t care how/if it effects other players.

However, I’m not opposed to the Head of the PGA Tour ringing him up and telling him one-on-one to pick up the pace...

Bruce is dead right here. But. What does irk me is that if several other guys said the same it would be deemed “ whining because he didn’t play well today “.

John's slow play isn't a real secret and he is hated around here specifically because of that.

Oh I know that. And even agree. But. I know that given the circumstances , If say Rahm or Sergio said “ I could have won today if JB wasn’t holding up the world “ this place would have imploded on him. “ whiner “ this and that . Brooks said pretty much the same just now in so many words and is being heralded for it. It’s cool. I just notice the double standard.

If Holmes is such a problem, why dont his fellow playing partners talk to him before the round and ask if they can play ready golf while he decides what he wants to do when he hits shots from the fairway? There's nothing that prohibits doing that, and it's not match play. Just ask on the first tee - "Hey JB, as long as my shot doesnt infringe on yours, do you mind if I go first on all shots from the fairway, even if you are away?" Kills two birds with one stone....allows JB to play at his pace, and his competitor to play at theirs. Perhaps a more ready-golf type of concept would benefit all players and help shave a few minutes off rounds, of slow play is truly thought of as a problem on tour (I dont think it is, but some disagree).

Not saying Brooks is necessarily wrong about JB, but he would be faster than just about any player on Tour. Stuff like this can be handled in a different way as opposed to always calling out others in the media.

We all know slow play exists. JB was not on anyone's clock. Koepka it's getting old. If you are thrown off by slow play, learn to deal with it or you are not a champion golfer.

I didn't get to see much of JB Holmes in the back 9 but was shocked when I saw his scorecard shooting a 46(+11)...what happened??
