When that photo was actually taken, all probably was seemingly "well with the world". What's your point?

No snark at all towards Tiger...this is business. Golf Digest's former parent company Conde Nast, which lost $120 million in 2017, finally unloaded GD to Discovery, Inc. for $30 million. Discovery then signed an "exclusive content" deal with Tiger Woods. Discovery, Inc. (Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network), is launching GolfTV, a live-on-demand, video streaming service in which Tiger will be a major player. Even though I haven't paid for Golf Digest in over six years, they still keep sending it to me. And why not? It's good business. No wonder Tiger is smiling...he's got his own TV channel with, I'm sure, a nice piece of the action.

GD will probably become the golf version of Oprah's magazine. Just all Tiger all the time. I think it's a futile effort, who reads it anymore anyway. It's all the same stuff over and over. I used to love the what's in the bag section, but GolfWrx serves that purpose way beyond. GD might just be another section of a big corporation's media arm.

Tiger Woods is on Golf Magazine’s cover as well. I guess the fact that the Masters would have been played before the next mag release and he is the defending champion didn’t matter.

Interesting in that the Golf Mag version states “MASTERS” right in the cover. I can’t imagine why.

When I lived in Japan, Tiger was on the cover of every Japanese Golf Digest, which was 5 time as thick as the US version and published weekly, for about 20 years! :)

When you say shot, you really mean photoshopped. This one looks like it was made in a hurry, though.

I think you're right. Still a nice watch! I prefer the GMT II stainless classic in black myself.
