3 Wood Recommendations

Since I can’t play, I’m overthinking my set. Fairway woods have never been my favorite clubs. Currently on use one. It’s a Tour Edge Exotics CBX 13.5. My next club is a G410 2 crossover. Looking for recommendations from you guys for a 3 wood. My driver ss is 115, and I’m typically a high flight, high spin player. Looking for lower launching / spinning combos. Nothing is open here to test so just looking for info to start the search.

I was a high flight/high spin player with 3 woods as well and the G410 LST 3W really brought those down for me.

This one was a bomber. I also liked the 2017 M1 as a more mid launch low spin with the right shaft.

I should add that my miss is usually left, so trying to avoid that also.

Yes I agree. One of the only 3 woods I ever regret getting rid of. It was a bomber. My Fusion is as well so lesson learned now. Keep fairway woods regardless of age.

I would recommend either the TS2 or TS3. I have a 16.5 TS2 and love it.

Another vote for the TS line. I have the TS2 and it's money. It's long, forgiving, and the ball pierces the wind. You can get a 15° and both loft it down and flatten the lie to keep the lefts out of play. Or start at 13.5° and hit bullets. The TS3 would be even more so when you put the weight toeside.

Epic Flash sub zero....amazing off the tee, and easy to launch from the deck. Front and back weight ports will allow you to fine tune a bit more than TS series fwy’s which are also very good. Especially since you say you fight high spin, not at least trying the flash sz would be a mistake.

Cobra LTD 3W.

Fairway woods are my guilty pleasure, and I've of the tens of 3Ws I've hit over the last many years, the Cobra LTD 3W has been the lowest spinning and launching head. It's an outstanding head if you have the speed for it, which you do. Silly long because of it's flight characteristics. Oh, and it won't break the bank now.

My claim was validated on my GCQuad.

I have an M2 3 wood with just a stock shaft. I love the thing, it’s an absolute bomber off the tee and off the deck. Sets up real nice too.

Thanks for the info everyone. vmann, I think what I'm looking for is more versatility from the deck. Its great off the tee, but a little inconsistent for me off the ground. Maybe more of a shaft issue than anything. Really won't know until the world opens up and I can test some different shafts. Thanks for the responses!

Find a Tour Issue SIM Max Rocket. I just got one and putting it through the paces and I am really happy. Doesn't go left and launches low and spins low. Great off the tee and even better off the deck!

Yeah I'm looking for a 3 wood with a little more distance but that is easy to get up in the air. Basically the easiest 13.5 3wood to get up that isn't a huge spinner.

my driver SS is 101 I don't play a wood right now. 17* hybrid is a 225 hitter for me and that's my max club right now (besides driver of course). So I'm coming up short on par 5s for sure. I have been looking at TEE EXS woods but haven't hit it. Definitely looking for a used club right now.

im not looking for something great off the tee. My driver is straight. I want something off the deck. Currently hitting an epic flash SZ with Hzrdus smoke shaft in driver and loving it. But read the SZ Wood is deep faced and is better off tee than the deck. True?
