Completed my all Cobra bag... Kind of

As you can see from my signature I have completed my 98% Cobra bag. Driver --> Wedges all Cobra. I am so impressed by the quality of club that they put out. I will never replace my Bastain Milled Putter so that is 1%... The other 1% is that everything is in a Callaway bag, which was won for closest to the pin at a close friend's brothers memorial golf tournament. Besides, Its a great bag!

Anyone else all Cobra?

i'm moving that way w/ the f7 driver, king mb irons and king utility. i can't however replace my TEE CB4 but not for lack of trying! also i'm too satisfied with my mizuno wedges to even try (today). i made myself a promise to play what i have in my bag currently for at least 12 months.

I was nearly all Titleist until that bag got stolen. I replaced most everything with Cobra and I'm pretty content with it. They make great clubs. Some golf snobs might write them off, but whatever....

Just ordered an LTD 3 wood today. I play SL woods but wanted to experiment with a "traditional" length 3w.

So... getting closer. It's not a goal of mine, more of a coincidence.

Killer products, love single length, and loved my fitting process.

Did you cut down normal length wood to play single length?

Or your single length 3 wood is different brand than cobra?

I can see myself going all Cobra minus the flat stick and irons. F8's are too big, the Forged Tec have too much offset, and I don't have any desire to game MB's. Maaaaybe the Forged Tour but I'm not a fan of the orange on the cavity. Absolutely love their woods and wedges though.

It was my first look into component heads. Only 2 companies (I know of) make SL woods. Here is a thread I shared that project in.

Feel free to PM me with questions.

I'm all cobra except for my putter and a wedge. Haven't had a second thought about changing. Ltd black driver f7 5 and 7 wood 5-7 forged tec black 7-pw in king cb. Best combo I have ever played and I've gone through 9 sets of irons trying to find the package that I have found in the cobras.

Bump. Doing Cobra research and came across this. Do you ever pull the wrong 7i? I want to do that blend but I can't mentally wrap my head around the overlap even though the loft gaps make perfect sense. Probably getting 4i in forged tec black and then 5-GW in CB and hoping I am good enough with the 5&6 CB.

Nope, but have like Cobra clubs in past. I am very tempted to get some cobra fairways maybe f8+ and drooling over the new Cobra KING cb/mb that were just released. But I am played very good golf with PING Ei1 this season. Hard to get rid of those.

My gradual switch from Mizuno VL to Cobra SL completed this week (with some Callaway and Hogan stops along the way).

It's the first time in a long time that I don't see any weaknesses or gaps in my setup. It's a weird feeling to not want to change anything (although I'm sure the F9 driver will get thoroughly demoed when it's available).

Cobras are by far the easiest clubs to tweak, with access to cavity for weighting and loft/lie adjustability of most woods, hybrids, and driving irons. Dollar for dollar they're hard to beat.

Played some of my best golf years ago with Cobra Carbon CB irons. Being the club ho I am; have gone through many clubs since then. Currently have Srixon 565/765 combo and Callaway Rogue as my primary sets. Just purchased as new Cobra Forged TEC 2016 irons and F8 driver. Hope to recapture the pass magic with Cobra! Still have Fly Z driver that I hit best of all the drivers in rotation.

Happy HO-lidays Golfwrxers!

I’m getting close to an all Cobra bag, very slowly and somewhat unintentionally. I was testing a bunch of irons over a few months to replace my Ping G5’s. As I continually banged balls with irons, I’d get bored and grab other clubs nearby. Hit the new (at the time) F7 driver and was very impressed. I find it hard to switch drivers. It was the first purchase. Kept looking for irons and hit the F7 3 wood and hybrids when bored. Bought them and still had the G5’s irons. Eventually bought Ping G400 irons but the F7 irons were a close second. 3 months ago picked up the one length F8’s to experiment and they kicked the G400’s out. Still have my Ping Glide sand wedge and my custom SeeMore putter. I could see me trying some new Cobra wedges soon. Also, can’t wait to try the F9 line. The F8 driver and I did not mesh well. People are always surprised to see Cobra and I almost never see others with Cobra products.

All Cobra for me as well, though CPG and WRX hooked me up luckily. I am really impressed by their clubs and will likely stick with this set for a while which is unlike me, particularly for irons. I struggle with the utility iron, but when I do hit it good, which is only 50% of the time it seems, it's awesome. It's not a club I need to use really at all, but I had room for one more, so I tried to pick something for teeing off on windier days.

The irons are fantastic. Not quite the Mizuno forged feel that I love (I've owned 4 sets of Mizuno irons), but still a great feel and consistent from a distance perspective. The wedges are probably my favorite clubs. I have so much confidence with them on full swings. If I'm 90-125yds, I feel like I can't miss.

I absolutely loved my old Callaway Steelhead XR hybrid and Rogue Driver, but those are the only clubs I would consider throwing back in my bag. They probably perform just as well as the Hybrid OS and F8. I'd say the Rogue was a bit longer for me, but I feel like I have more consistency with the F8. The 4w with the rails makes it so easy to hit off the deck, and it's a solid performer off the tee.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with my set. I got fit with their top fitter in San Diego, who was awesome, so I'm sure that has definitely helped with my love for this bag. If you want to read up a bit more on my fitting and thoughts, check out my post here. The integrated Arccos grips and system are also great. You can read my review as well as others that were chosen in that thread.

Sorry for the late reply to this I missed the thread. To answer your question, no it’s never an issue pulling my own clubs. I striped the paint from my cb’s so they are all black and left the paint fill in the numbers on the forged tech so never have an issue. Now if I have someone grab a club and it happens to be the seven iron I have to be specific with which to grab.

... One thing I have learned from going to Demo Day every year at the PGA Show is there are so many great products out there and I am always surprised by at least one or more clubs that were never on my radar. So I cannot see me ever having a bag filled with just one OEM. But if I did, Cobra would be the front runner. After years of playing what I thought are the best all around players irons in the Amp Forged, Fly Z+ and Forged Tours I started playing P790's last fall and love everything about them. But I would have no problem at all going back to Forged Tours. For me at least, Cobra drivers have separated themselves from all others and I am looking forward to playing the F9 and think the Fly Z may be the best driver ever made for a wide range of players. My wife is a good golfer but probably around 85 mph swing while my son swings around 110 and both absolutely love their Fly Z drivers.

... Fairway woods have always been my chilis heel but the F8 changed that and now I look forward to having shots where I can pull out my F8 fw. The King Utility is also as good as it gets for the best of both DI's and hybrid's. I prefer a very straight leading edge on my wedges so Cobra King's do not work for me, but if they ever produce a straight leading edge on their wedges I will certainly give them a try. And I will add the folks at Cobra are the most approachable, knowledgable and friendly people I have ever interviewed at the PGA Show.
