Sam let me know today that the blade version is being shipped tomorrow. It will be their latest iteration called the B.2. The B.2 will not be released until the spring.

It sounds like they've made some cool enhancements. I'm really looking forward to it.

Let us know what you think. I love the 2.1 but was thinking about buying the blade as well. Sometimes its nice to switch up the look, but I believe in Lie Angle Balancing and want to have that technology in my putter!

Just need to enter your starting distance in feet for the first putt (27 feet would be 27g; g is for green), and the total putts you took on the hole. Feel free to copy for the purpose of evaluating your putting, or different putters. Of course, you probably need at least 20 rounds for a valid sample size. Perhaps the statisticians can weigh in on that. Clearly, the fewer the rounds, the less confidence in the result.

I will. I'm anxious to see how it sets up behind the ball. I've mentioned I never played with a center shafted putter. The 2.1 doesn't play like one.

I have not been able to play a round with my 2.1 since it is getting colder but the 2.1 feels great. I have been practicing inside and I don't think I have been more confident in my putting as I now. Can't wait to see how it performs when it gets warmer.

I loved this putter when I had it. Everything that’s been said in this forum already hits home. Sets up perfectly, super flawless on alignment but I really wish LAB would make the face a tad bit hotter. I had a to take a lot of super long strokes to get the ball to the hole. Everything was on line but had a lot come up short. Unfortunately this one the only reason I sold mine.

bd59, how long did you have your DF 2.1? Not sure I could move to something that was less on line, as opposed to learning how to get it to roll it the right distance.

I got fitted a few weeks ago in Melbourne Australia (thanks for the contact details Sam!).

Played 4 rounds so far and the results are VERY good.

My Lag Putting is very solid and the short putts are nearly automatic.

Also making a good % of 10-15ft putts (quite a few for Birdie!).

I found the "2 Ball" putting drill very good to ensure I am stroking the ball rather than hitting it. When playing I try to visualise that I have an extra ball on the back of the putter and this seems to get me to put a much better stroke on the putt!

Best to just check the locator on our website. Most fitters don't stock a bunch because most orders are custom but they may have one laying around.

First impressions...It’s smaller than I expected. Very clean. Setting up is not an issue at all. The feel is really, really good. Exactly how I like a putter to feel. The face is a little hotter than the 2.1 IMO. Not jumpy by any means, but more what I’m used to and prefer. Shorter the stroke, the better.

I think playing the 2.1 for the past 25+ rounds was good training for the B.2. Looking forward to get it on the course.

I have a round scheduled tomorrow but we may get a dusting tonight. I spent about an hour putting with it and the 2.1 last night, while watching bad football. Two very different animals.

Like most putters, the B.2 has 3* of loft. Sam and I discussed changing the OG (1.5 of lean) grip on it. Technically this could knock it out of balance by an incredibly small amount that most wouldn't notice. The OG is really heavy, like 125g. I love the weighting and swing feel, so I may try to find something else heavy that sits in my hands better. The sweet spot of the B.2 is as good as it gets, feel/sound wise.

Hoping the snow misses us tomorrow. If not, I should be able to get out with it by Friday.

How much different is the 2.1 in regards to speed/feel off the face compared to the Reno 2.0? I loved the 2.0 initially for accuracy but when i was lag putting i found my speed was between "meh" and "did i just hit a marshmallow?"

Would a shorter club build (33" vs 35") have higher head weight when compared to longer DF build? Also, would a higher lie angle (74*) have a higher head weight than a standard 70* lie angle?

Gamble Gamble, I can answer one part of your question definitively, a 33" build WILL have a higher head weight than a 35" build, for sure. They are also using tungsten weights now (note the small T beside the 2.1), to help with weighting and make for better feel.

I won’t try to answer that one Chris but my friend had the 2.0. It felt a little dead to me as well. The 2.1 doesn’t. He putted great with the 2.0 but also had the tendency to be long with all of his other putters, so it worked for him.
