Changing the goalposts whenever the need arises. This group is a sellout organization. They are looking to put a more positive face out there after all the criticism for including feel-good candidates who didn't have the record of prior inductees. There is no doubt Tiger belongs in the HOF, but it doesn't matter at all whether he gets there in five or ten years versus now. I'm so sick of spineless crap like this.

This may be bad but it’s better than the hypocrites over at the BBWAA- baseball writers that vote for the Baseball Hall. Way too much posturing there about protecting the “integrity of the game” when in reality they vote in the good guys that gave them the time of day when they were active players.

HoF’s are something that are not really all that big of a deal here in the UK. They only seem to have come about recently over here and the only reason they are being done is money which of course is what it always comes down. Same thing here, lower the age, get Tiger in early to get him his place in the HoF and be able to make a big song and dance about the ceremony where people, will (I am sure) be charged an absolutely fortune to be there.

They have made it all too clear that they have a "show to do" every year....worthy inductees notwithstanding.

David Duval in or out? I would say no, but using Couple as a "comp." he might deserve it. Again I would have been a HARD PASS on Couples, and Montgomery would have been way later in life......

See that's just stupid. Montgomery isn't a HOF'er now, but maybe a few arbitrary years down the road? It's like Larry Walker getting into the MLB HOF yesterday on his final try, 15 years. Nothing changed in the last 15 years. Either you are a HOF'er or you aren't, there's no middle ground of waiting.

I was referencing that there are different categories of entrance to HOF....ie: "Veterans Committee" or "Lifetime Achievment".....Given his lack of majors or wins outside of Europe i dont think Montgomery warranted inclusion as "Male Competitor"

Wife and I were staying in Orlando and rented a Camaro SS convertible and zoomed to the World Golf HOF. It was fun. Place was fairly empty and we had a good time with the old putters in the putting room.

Played the mini golf course. My wife watches a lot of golf on TV but it wasn't until she had a putt lip out that she fully understood how cruel this game is.

I recommend going if you're down in Florida.

You may be joking here but I was surprised at the time, that he got in. I believed, wrongly I guess, a player needed multiple majors or 20 PGA tour wins or some such combination.

He's a good dude so they let him in. The minimum qualifications seem to vary. Poor guy is the poster child for marital issues.
