Danny Lee's new Mizuno MP - 32 - 2019

Sweet. I’ll be taking my 14’s out this spring for the first time in ten years. I recall Mizuno referred to these as “cut muscle,” iirc.

If Mizuno offered this with MP 18 offset and loft with both a leading and trailing edge grind it would outsell every players iron on the market.

As a man that is completely devoted to Titleist 680s.. I have to say... I would think about risking it all for some mint MP-32s.

I wonder if Mizuno will once a year or every other year, say launch a "RETRO" set of irons to the masses. I would love to pick up a new custom spec'd set of MP53's with no paint fill.

I have a chance to buy a set of these that I would call 8.5 out of 10 for 169.00.....I haven't seen a set in this shape for a long time. Obviously they don't have a grind like lee's but really nice never the less....I have to many irons but might grab them....What do you think?

I was debating on this until I read a while ago on the home page that all mp32's have conforming grooves. That surprised me. If true I will definitely buy them....I plan to play in a few things this year that require the conforming grooves.

Mp32 were my first set of Mizuno irons, and last year I picked my second set Mp18

 

Now I'm looking for my 3rd set (backup) either MP32 or JPX 900 Tour

Just heard them say on coverage that these are new old stock that had been riding around on the van for a long time . Apparently originally slated for Luke Donald . Said Danny has been trying to score them for a while. Finally talked them out of them. Pga tour live guy said it.

I know it's resurrecting an old thread, but would the sole profile of these irons be worth it if I get my set refinished ? I picked up a set of these recently for a steal, they're still in good enough shape to game them but they've got some dings and marks that I'd be looking to have worked out, so I'd likely have them ground at the same time.

Any thoughts ?

I would guess Mizuno Japan (the mothership) would be more likely to do a re-release ie TN-87s.

I don’t know if the 32s are as legendary there though.

Mizuno Japan did do a re-release of the TN-87 back in 2014, 10 pieces, 3-PW + AW + SW cost was like $4K
