A few years, maybe more now that I think about it, I upgraded when the first version of the Cally Fusions came out and I've been happy ever since. Don't know if it's the combo of the materials in the in the head or the nippon shafts but they feel like forged iron to me. I played Mizuno MX-20,23,25's up until I bought these and I've been happy ever since. I used to be the biggest clug ho of my group but I don't bother looking anymore. The new TM do have my interest but it would take a lot to bump these out of my bag.

Two sets I go back and forth with:

Mizzy JPX 825 Tour

Mizzy JPX 850 Cast

I hit the new 900 Forged and Hot Metals and were almost identical in my few sessions. I really wanted anew set mainly for the Project X LZ shafts...but the n the monitor at my local GG, very little difference from my current set ups with the standard Project X shafts.

I've been playing my Apex 2014's for the last two seasons, after playing my MX-900's for 6 seasons. I'll play the Apex's until someone comes out with a soft forged CB that is longer and straighter (PW 42 deg and 6 iron 19 deg :taunt: )

Mp 59, mp 33, 32, 62, 60, etc

Titleist 670-690.mb

J36-40

Macgregor 1025m (vip)

Blade style hasnt changed all that much except lofts in some cases...

Players clubs are players clubs...hogans, real hogans, are for real "playas", while todays "players" clubs are more forgiving. I play blades mainly, but the hogan pc was really too much for me (though the 7-pw were near perfect).

I think the biggest difference are in ur more forgiving models tgat now use matetials that would have been too difficult/expensive to mass market a decade ago.

I currently game Ben Hogan '99 Apex blades (3-E) and a Scratch 1018 52 degree gap wedge. I have a set of Ping i-3 Blades (1999 model) on the way. I owned a couple of sets of these back in the day. I also have a set of MacGregor Muirfield 20th irons that I used to play very well. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Yeah I love my AP2 714s. I can't see myself switching for at least a couple more years.

No anything older than a year is obsolete

I was going to ask if you were serious, then I saw who posted it.

Had RSi1 irons but got rid of them.

Had some low ball bids out on Ebay on a couple sets. Bought some JPX800 pro at Golfsmith for a decent price and then won both auctions on ebay. So now I have Cobra AMP forged and a combo set of TM TP CB/MC. Looking forward to trying out the different sets of irons.

I find that older irons have a certain panache to them.

Is anyone happy with their iron set that's a year or older????? I just bought covert forged in December and Im dying to switch to something new just because....

Been rocking a set of Mizuno's for the last 6 years. Bought those to replace the 10 year old Mizuno's that I had in the bag before then. When you find something that works, no need to change it.

Played my last set for 7 years: combo AP2 (3-5) and ZB forged (6-P). Haven't hit an AP2 in a bit but that original was a nice club, can't say enough about the ZBs either, any poor shots coming off those were all me. Switched to MP-5s last spring, couldn't be happier with them.

i've had CMB's in my bag for the last 4 seasons and will probably stay in there another few. like others have said, if its not broke, why fix it?

and those aren't even the oldest set in my family, my brother's set of MP-32's is going on about a decade of play and he too has no inkling to switch.
