2005 Taylormade TP. I had 4 sets of those. 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. That's when I'd hit balls everyday and play 4 days a week. Loved those things.

I gotta assume '13 X-Forged were already listed. And if so, whoever listed them is smart, they gave the correct answer. Apex Edge Pro is a good honorable mention. JPX 900 Tour is worthy of consideration as well.

Have hit most of irons mentioned in thread aside from some really old models and Japanese ones (aside from mizzy).....had hogans, Tommy armours, and maxfli rev but was too long ago to compare to todays

 

Really depends....the ones that feel the best are most demanding usually

 

Mp64, 588cb, Mp15 prolly my favs for different reasons....

 

J15cb was good all around but not best in any one area....bit over hyped imo

Same design been around for years

 

 

On feel alone mp64....NO QUESTION!

Looks 588cb and feel great

Mp15 great blend of everyrhing

If the onoffs don't work for some reason am going straight to Epon.....already burned through all domestic stuff so, lol

You have got to be ok with a bit of offset if you want to love the 302's.

Nah I havnt hit the onoffs yet...still waiting for em....hit some a few years ago with really beat up range balls

 

I don't mind a bit of offset, have seen pretty good pics of epons and they look fine....everyone loves em so hard to believe they suck, lol

 

First choice was epon but couldn't find any in decent shape for reasonable price and with a shaft i like....

 

Lots of love for onoffs I hear and look pretty good so....give it a go and cost me a bit less brand new than a domestic set of say mizzy, tileist, cally, or any of em......good price at TSG

Annika Sorrenstam played Callaway X-14s for most of her career.

 

I probably played my best golf ever with Titleist DCI 962s (and I still have them - maybe I should reshaft them?)

 

A couple sets that I wish I bought were TM R7 TPs and Ping S59s.

 

So many great iron designs out there, it's impossible to pick one as the best ever.

i received my j15cbs in the mail like a week ago and i was worried about the shaping of the pw and 9 based on what ppl had mentioned on this forum (you were one of the main ppl i saw complain about it), but honestly & too my delight, they fit my eye quite nicely and they dont seem scoopy or anything at all.

 

subjective preferences i suppose :P
