I'm enjoying the play, the course and the competitiveness, but Fox is not doing that great a job. They are not complementing or developing the story, and seem to not have any feel for what to show or when. Just plain awkward at times. We didn't need the almost comatose Brooks, Holly and whoever the heck else was in the picture standing over some 7th grade science mock up of a hole saying absolutely nothing while important action was being missed (unless it was really a volcano and they were going to light it up). Senseless.

I think there might be some kids on your lawn you could go yell at if you find yourself bored with the amazing job that Fox has been doing.

He's either got an agenda or never watched televised golf before...

While there are lots of do**he chills during the commentary, I was loving all the pro tracers. Easily the most I've seen in an event.

Nobilo on Golf Channel just mentioned there are only two players in the WR top-50 that missed the cut in the Masters, Players' Championship, and U.S. Open this year - Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler.

Rory, Patrick Reed?

Rory tied 10th at the Masters, and 12th at THE PLAYERS. Reed tied 49th at Augusta, but missed the cut at Sawgrass.

I really like this golf course. Something pure about it. Looks like its been just as you might see it 100 years ago. Like a horse drawn cart carrying hand churned butter might come rumbling down the lane into the clubhouse. Anyway,

Tomorrows winner will be a first time US Open champion

And most likely a first time Major winner.

History tomorrow.

But I gotta go to @$#+&% some brunch for some bull$&%\.

Gonna stream this right on the table until wife punches me.

I disagree. Take away the history and its just a weird course built in a corn field. Maybe if I ever played it, I would think different. It just looks boring to me...like the same shot over and over. Besides, I don't typically care for a course with that many blind shots.

The tournament has been great so far! Really looking forward to tomorrow.

Arguably, the three most famous major championship courses are Augusta National, St. Andrews and Oakmont. The guys at Golf Channel just mentioned that only two players have won majors at all three: Sam Snead and Jack Nicklaus. Zach Johnson can join them tomorrow.

Zach may have the most underrated and underappreciated career on Tour.

I mean, if he happened to win tomorrow, he'd be 3/4 of the way to the career slam.

Thought the pro tracers were a just a little overdone and makes me wonder if it's a way to cover up a lack of investment/experience to allow good camera work, but some love pro tracer, so fans of that are getting what they want for a change. The little graphics on either side of the fairway as people are teeing off telling me how far the bunkers are out are really annoying and pretty unnecessary.

Back in the day when ABC had some weak coverage still enjoyed the golf, will enjoy it tomorrow.

I like the pro tracer but I wish it would lag a little. The shots are already slightly pre-recorded to have protracer but you can follow the ball with out it for a little because the background. The protracer keeps on popping up ahead of the ball which is annoying when you are trying to follow the it.

And there would still be people claiming that he "doesn't deserve it."

Vamos Sergio. I wouldn't be surprised to see Grace take it, after what happened this round plus what he did last year.

Are they groups of threes tomorrow? They don't have the tee times up.

They still must finish the third round in groups of three. Afterward, the USGA will create pairs going off from only the first tee.

To me the course looks awesome. Some of those other old school US Open courses like Congressional or Winged Foot etc look so boring.

Played golf and got drunk with the boys last night, so missed all the golf and this thread. Catching up right now by reading the last 20 pages of this thread. I can tell you that you learn more reading the comments on here about the ebb and flow of the tournament than any highlights show.

Some very funny comments. Liking the leaderboard. Great Sunday ahead. Glory to be grasped.
