Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

On Sunday I played the Warren Course at Notre Dame. It's hosting the 2019 US Senior Open. Was paired up with 2 professors from the school and they couldn't have been nicer guys to golf with. Just great guys.

On the 9th hole I left myself short sided and had to drop a flop shot in over a bunker to a very tiny area. One of the guys noticed the KTrey ball which led to a great conversation about the ball. He hadn't been able to get any so at the end of the round I emptied the bag and gave him 15-20 balls.

BTW...got up and down for par...which was nice.

Love the course...

Whatever shortcoming the K-3 might have (and I have a few reservations, myself, as compared to the original K-Sig) it behaves on those sorts of shots as well as any ball ever made. He probably gave you bonus points for the nice up-and-down with a cheap-azz ball. Joke's on him...it wasn't you it was the ball, man!

Played with a random guy yesterday who found a K-sig while looking for his ball in the rough. "Kirkland, don't they make Vodka?" he said.

I had to tell him the whole story, and show him that I was playing the ball myself. My wife just rolled her eyes and went "here we go" as I launched into the story of the K-sig.

She can't be too critical, she was playing a K3...

Someone had mentioned it before but stuff gets buried in this thread pretty quick. How often does the website allow you to re-order the K3s? I know they'll cancel orders if you do it too soon, but wasn't sure how long you had to wait.

I don't know if they changed the reorder logic or not. But, in April, when the Ksig's became available again and the K3's first came out, I placed individual orders for each of them (didn't know about the K3, at the time that I ordered the Ksig's) on April 3rd. Both orders were delivered on April 5th. I then placed a new order for a box of both balls the following day (April 6th) that was delivered on April 10th.

But seriously, these balls aren't all they cooked up to be. Anyone paying over the stock price from costco is out of their mind.

New Golfwrx rules require all "how to spend your money" comments only be posted in a PXG thread...

I thought it was PXG for clubs and Titleist for balls.

If it's "nothing special" than neither is a ProV1. I've played Pro V's for years, and the K4 behaves nearly identical to them, for a third the cost. No ball is magic, not sure what you're expecting from a ball.

Thread is starting to get interesting again. I want to see that pro come check in again that claimed he could not stop the full lob with a K-Sig. Maybe the guy who put smileys on it like a balata.

Also, where is the don't need a large quantity of (insert funny product name here) guy.

Is 15 dollars really less than 45? Yes. Yes it it.

Does the Ksig perform as well as all the other tour balls? Yes it does.

what version was around in late 2016? im not expert on how many versions obviously but it was a couple years ago in Europe when I was over seas. when I got the lethals on sale, I should have bought a gross of them. they are still amazing. I don't know how many prov 1 versions there are either but the ones from 2016 were better feeling to me than this years

to me it performs like a $15 ball. doesnt really feel or fly like a premium ball to me, but for the price, it works.... what version of ksig is the best?

Played a two man scramble with my 4 piece K sig, and the twosome we were playing with couldn't believe how the ball was stopping and backing up, and how long it was off the tee. I gave them both one to try, one was a chromesoft guy and the other a Pro V user. They both tried the ball for a few holes at the end, and both said that have to get them they were so impressed. Great ball, even better value. Period.
