Kirkland Signature (Costco) golf balls (MERGED) (NO BST POSTS)

The Kirkland first appeared two years ago. The conjecture then was that Nassau/Taylormade has some spare cores left over so Costco contracted to have some balls made at a great price to their customers. My guess is that original stock of cores has long since gone. So evidently Costco has a deal with Nassau(?) to make balls for them whenever they have an overstock of components. This is entirely guesswork on my part. If this is accurate that would explain the erratic rate of availabllity. Therefore it’s a win/win for Nassau and Costco. Nassau knows they can clean house of excess product and Costco can offer a quality ball at a great price.

IMO you will never see the 4 piece again unless they purchase over runs from some other manufacturer. I believe the Callaway rep gave a great answer to a ksig question over there

Your opinion and a handful of air and worth the same.

As is yours. A year from now, most of you will still be clinging to hope that the 4-piece will still be coming back, like Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

Doubt it.

Totally content with $20 srixons piled high. And others. If they come back, they come back. Every 3 months or so it subsides and somebody says well I guess this is the end. And each time they are wrong. Eventually you will be right.

Don't come to the thread anxiously awaiting the next release. The threads popularity was created by the unusual negativity thrown at this ball and those who appreciated the value of it, by those who never tried it and OBVIOUS shills.

Or those who reflexively feel the need to defend it, despite the fact that Costco is unable to consistently keep it in stock. It was a limited time thing, but those who insisted it would change the golf ball world have to keep defending it and insisting it will return, despite all evidence to the contrary. Enjoy your stockpile of cheap balls.

Thank you sir I will enjoy these.

So to be clear, each time it was stated it would not, then it did return. And all evidence was to the contrary? I love it!

It may not come back...this time. Or ever. Don't care though. The entertainment value plus actual value has been perfect.

Which Kirkland ball should I buy?

Got confused in thread, too long. Sounds like four piece was replaced by three piece after Titliest lawsuit. Or just an availability issue?

What Kirkland ball to buy? Going to Costco soon, want to try some. Thanks.

Both good balls. 3 piece more durable and that was my only complaint about the 4 piece. Very unlikely you'll see either ball when you go to Costco. Typically online only.

Not at all, but that gentleman has been a troll for quite awhile. Are you one too?

Edit: Judging by your equipment line, I'm going to guess that you are. Enjoy your overpriced balls and clubs.

Unless the original 4-piece happens to show up again for a day or two, there is no choice between Costco balls. The 3-piece one is what they are currently (probably) selling.

Actually, the Ksig is less than $20. :taunt:

And I believe most Ksig users do not use it because of "superiority" of the ball, rather they find the performance excellent and they also love the price. The Ksig just goes to show how overpriced the market average "tour" ball is.

Titleist with their ProV1, and Titleist in general whether it's their Cameron putters, Vokey wedges, or name brand irons, spends hundreds of millions each year to create a "tour association" image, and thus create the mindset for consumers that if they purchase Titleist products they are playing the same product that the best players in the world use. That's just the opposite of what Ksig means to most here; cheap department store pricing but performance matching the best. Long live Ksig!

Who would've thought this thread would've went off the rails this bad, geeez! Are people seriously arguing over $20 golf balls! Mods should lock it up. I remember a time we could get on here and discuss the K-sig and what we thought about it etc. Now, contentious banter! "My dad can beat up your dad etc." c'mon guys!!

Sorry if this has been asked before but has anyone played this k3 and the Topflite Gamer ball that can review or comment on which they like better?

I know is it subjective but since both are 3 piece balls I am curious as they both seem to have great reviews!

The TF Gamer (non urethane) is a great ball! I actually prefer it to the K3. Very stable in the wind and one of the longest balls off the tee for me. I loaded up on 16 dozen when they were BOGO (came out to $7.50 a dozen) and unless the green are concrete they spin more than enough around the green.

TF Gamer is the best non urethane ball ever produced IMHO.

K3 is a good ball but doesn't do anything for me that is better than the Gamer.

Well I played 18 with my new Costco balls. Hit a cart path on 15 which put a scuff in it, but two of the last three holes were water holes, so I kept it in play. The ball looks kind of cheap to me, and the big Kirkland logo exudes the same cache of Top Flite or Pinnacle. But it performed well. Very “spinny.” I shot a clean 75, which is very good for me, having broken 80 only once this year (eight rounds).

K3 or 4? My wife stopped by a Costco return sales shops (I didn’t but know hey existed but apparently we have two in town) someone returned some ksigs and k3. She bought both for me!!! Now I’ve got a hoard of 14dz ksig and 2 dz k3. If all goes well I’ll get to try the k3 today for 9 (after my morning round - did not play the ksig as I still have others im the hoard I’m using atm). Btw: the k3 was discounted to 15.99 instead of the 17.99+shipping.

Hey were the 3’s. $24 for two dozen. I don’t know what kind of ball they are comparable to. They are probably pretty competitive in the $1/ball market. Costco Mckinney Texas had a whole bunch at the store’s grand opening.

K3 available online again. Is this a recent event or have they been back at costco.com for some time now?

bring the K4's back!!! If they ever will

They always do.... I wouldn't worry. Just buy enough to last between releases. I have 10 dozen just waiting patiently to be played.

I found a K3 on 17 yesterday while playing. I used it to tee off on 18 to see if I could carry a creek and big tree at the corner and boy did that ball fly! On the tee I questioned if I had enough in my driver to do it. It cleared the creek and the tree by a huge margin. Seems as long as anything else, but with only one wedge into a green I don't know what the spin is like. I may have to get a box (2 dozen), given how inexpensive they are, to give them a real test.

Just got back from AZ where I played the K3 only. Being my first time playing a urethane covered ball I was impressed.

Longer off the tee then I am normally. Same with fairway woods, hybrids and 6,7 8 iron.

Not used to ball stopping so quickly on wedges, and 9 iron. Which will take some getting used to. Normally I get some roll out with my surlyn covered balls. This might lead to having to grab a different club when using these clubs. Lets say a PW instead of a GW.

On one hole when I outdrove my cart partner by 40 yards his comment was " Damn Kirkland balls". Might have a couple of gents looking into them.

Going to have to play out my Callaway superhot 55 to they are gone and then play the K3's from then on
