So yesterday in the long drive bay someone meantioned that Callaway also has some guys from Mitsubishi Rayon and I believe KBS coming as well to assist with fittings and show off some new stuff coming to retail.

Look forward to the fittings today and say hi to Doc for me. He and I drank quite a bit of Vodka and Scotch during one of the dinners and it was hilarious to see some of the messages on his phone from Phil (Mickelson). Evan is also a great guy (not sure if you'll meet him) and knows more about the woods then anyone outside of Doc. Have fun and enjoy!

That's awesome! I've seen quite a bit around a new KBS graphite shaft, so hopefully you guys can test those out. Mitsubishi is always seemingly pushing tech advances, so to be able to hit some of their newest will be a blast I'm sure.

It's 1,000x better than Five Guys! Unless you like tasteless burgers and soggy fries!

No no no. I"ve eaten both and Five guys is better. But In and Out has more menu/off menu options.

Obviously didn't get to go but I had so much to do it would have just been an inconvenience, really . . . help the wife decorate the house for Xmas, shovel the driveway (twice), read in church, a little bridge with the folks, Hallmark movies, laundry, bleach some socks my wife turned blue, plan Xmas Eve meal and grocery list - yes California and testing loads of exciting clubs and teaching Sean2 how to use his phone camera would have been so pedestrian. ?

What really struck me was how happy they were to see us. It was genuine. These folks are passionate about golf and their jobs at Callaway.

 

They are treating us very well, and I don't believe it is to garner are favor. It's just who they are. I was speaking with one of the gentlemen this evening about this, and he said it is part of the corporate culture.

 

I don't know how to post photos as I am going through Safari, as I cannot access this thread through the app.

 

I sucked in the long drive competition. :-)

 

When I left Boston it was 14 degrees, when I landed in San Diego it was in the mid-60s. After lunch I spent some time in the whirlpool (which is outdoors). It felt really great after sitting on a plane for 7 hours...6.5 hour flight time.

 

You already saw photos of the swag (which I wanted to share with you), and I was a bit overwhelmed. This is beyond my wildest dreams and I am very humbled and grateful that I was selected. This is also the first golf trip I have ever been on...and it's a doozy.

 

Nick Arthur who did my putter fitting was very thorough. And I was playing the wrong putter. They will do some tweaking...38 inches, a couple of degrees flat. I forgot the name of the putter. Oy vey.

 

The ESPC (Eli Callaway Performance Center), is a state of the art fitting, testing complex that is quite breathtaking in its scope and thoroughness.

 

Tomorrow we have are fittings. The lightest clubs I ever owned had a swing weight of E3, so I will be curious to see what the good folks at Callaway come up with.

Ok, I was a little micro aggressive when I commented a while back about "passive aggressively" congratulating you all.

 

The more I read on here, I'm becoming macro aggressive and would just like to let you all know that I'm about as happy for you as a drunken girlfriend is happy for you when she catches you looking at the waitresses assets.

 

Seriously though, you guys look like you're having an awesome time, and I'm grateful that our site here hooks us up with these kinds of opportunities.
