off topic ( shocked i know) 97 speedster .....Is that Saleen S351 Speedster ?

No, it is my eBay name that I had since the early 2000's back when I had a 1997 Speedster Jet boat. I used to go by Tiburon on some other golf forums back in the day too.

I thought it was either the boat or one of these and you forgot one of the 9’s.

Fred's quotes were the best.

"I thought I had a good chance to win if I could keep hitting good shots but only if I didn't hit mediocre shots."

"I am a lot older than I was when I was 30, which is kind of hard to believe."

Yes, your Ebay name is what tipped me off and I do remember many funny banters you had with Siteseer. And posts over at BSG.

Thanks for sharing the info on Tiger and I do think he'll have a very good year.

As Tiger himself has said, his driving on the range or during practice is rarely a problem.

No big deal to me. His driving was better the last couple of weeks that it was in LA but it's not like he was hitting every fairway.

That said, I don't buy that he missed one fairway out of 28.

I can guarantee that 27 fairways was fact, that info came from Rob McNamara who was keeping stats and playing alongside TW.

It would help to know how many fairways he hits or misses normally when not in competition. His tempo with the driver seems changes in tournament golf.

Tiger is a funny dude. Plays practice rounds at “casual speed” (like 3 mph less ball speed) and finds the fairway regularly, even with driver. Then the tourney starts, goes into “tournament speed” (which is barely faster), and gets wild with the long clubs.

The man is obsessed with distance, to a fault sometimes. Who am I to judge though, his record speaks for itself and he’s absolutely incredible.

Former professional golfer. Current amateur human being.

I can pure my driver 10 straight times by myself on the range. A machine. There is no doubt, I have finally mastered this game. Walk 50 feet to first tee. A hush falls upon the small group gathered to watch. Thin slice into woods.

Here is some insider news on Tiger Woods and his latest change to his driver in preparation for The Masters...

This week Tiger flew up to Augusta National to play 36 holes on Thursday and Friday. He put a new driver shaft in his M3, a Mitsubishi Tensei Pro Orange 70TX, the same shaft that Rory changed to when he won at Bay Hill last week. Tiger loves the shaft change and in the 36 holes he played at Augusta National the last few days he only missed one fairway.

So, it was just the shaft this whole time?

Does Vegas have a line on Tiger using driver on #1 at Augusta and hitting the fairway with said driver?

Which fairway? May be multiple lines.

Now we're getting somewhere. Easy money that he could hit... what is it the 5th fairway (when Tiger hooks it off of the 1st tee)? Anyone could win that bet. It'd be a tough way to earn a buck betting he hits #1.

Probably the 9th fairway although have heard reports he has found the 8th as well.
