I'm definitely going to try these when they come out. Profile looks great. Have never put a full set of ping irons in my bag but these could be the ones to do it.

Because of Ping dragging their feet with these unfinished products I had to pull the trigger on 20% off Ap3's from golf galaxy.. Discount good through tomorrow ... Never seen titleist agree to promotions. I hate that ping waits as long as possible before showing their finished product! And I really wanted an all ping bag!

I really do not think a lot will be switching from the 790s because they are less than a year old. My guess is that the bigger number will be people who would have purchased the 790s are now going to purchase the i500s.

Looks like they've figured out the weighting issue with that fat hosel and the weight screw on the toe. I have to admit that I don't see how that's going to work but engineers are a bright bunch. I always liked their central CTP, which made a lot of sense rather than dropping more weight into the hosel to adjust swingweights. It'll probably be a "if you like D0, you're in luck"....otherwise, lead tape. Their casting will need to be much more precise to get it right because some of the CTP weights were quite heavy to get things right in past models. I understand this to be a cast chassis with forged face.
