Best player this week played the course in tournament conditions. I'm sure there would have been invites for everyone that week.

 

PGA Tour also not helping the US Ryder Cup team with their specific and strict tournament rules (Have to play a new tournament every year or 25 tournaments) making it more awkward to travel.
