On my best hits with my M3 tour my spin with an Oban devotion 7 stuff 75g shaft that I was fitted for I got 2400 and bad hits I get 2700. This was outdoors on Trackman so I’m hoping with the same shaft and M5 tour my good hits might be 2100 and bad might be 2500. I’ll see when I try. I doubt I get it under 2000 spin but who knows. I know I’m not hitting it like Rick Sheils so no worries on really low spin.

To me the M5 Tour is looking like the best performing driver out there. Wonder how forgiving it will be.

Great gains compared to M3 440

Great find, and now I cant wait to hit the M5 Tour..

Me too. Just stinks that it wont be out to test until a month after the regular M5

It is worth the wait:)

That being said, I have a 460 head until that day arrives!

Both heads beat my Tour M3 heads.

Wow I just noticed that M5/M6 have a stock length of 45.75''. At this rate, around 2022 we'll all be hitting long drivers off the tee.

Man that's crazy ! I'm still playing at 44"

I will assume the Tour Length will be shorter..

All of the new M drivers are listed at 45.75" and that includes the M5 Tour.

Which at 44.5" for my M5 I will be adding more weight(s) to the tracks.

So if I get an M6 and want to play it at 45 inches, how do we add weight to the M6 heads? I do not see a removable weight.

Any M4 or RBZ stage 2/sldr fairway weight will work as a replacement in the M6 wight in the back on the head. They can be found up to 12-14 grams also if you remove the weight you can add hotmelt into it.

As for the M5 it's the same weights as the previous M3's they can be found up to 14 grams & you can hotmelt through the sound port in the hosel.

Do we have confirmation that the tour driver is in fact releasing a month later? The guy at golf galaxy last night told me their info is 2/1 with the rest of the clubs. Also, the shop I always order through has also told me 2/1

Taylormade has no issue posting all those stupid assss “five more sleeps†posts but they can’t pop in and tell us the actual release date?

Insulting them seems like a sure fired way of getting them to respond.

You would also think they would know what the shaft options would be as well. As the shafts are coming from other companies so it’s not a production issue on TM part.

No cost Shaft options are on the taylormade site.

The ones currently listed on their site are only as of Fall 2018...no 2019 update to the sheet yet.

Still remarkable the height and low spin with the M5. He has a 10.5* set down to 8.5* and look at the launch height and low spin!

The Cally was a 9* set to 8*.

The weights in the M5 were set fairly neutral.

Can't imagine the tour with lower launch and spin.97a4925e5113ef7a61010d51d2da8736.jpg

Everything available on 2/1...except M5 Tour, which is coming 3/1.

Pre-order starts on 1/18.

Only 26 more sleeps. :smilie_tm:

I’m going to have to look for a different driver. I don’t want to wait that long. I just sold my M3 440 under the assumption 2/1 meant 2/1 haha. Oh well... Taylormade wont be sad without me and I’m sure they’ll survive without my $550
