Cripes. That dude is putting up some speed. 129 swing speed? Was the last shaft he hit the Fuji pro 2.0?

Going this afternoon to test the F9 against my current gamer. Can't wait to see how it stacks up.

My local shop has all of the "big names" on one wall and has Cobra on the other side like a red-headed step child (next to Wilson). I've been telling them for weeks that if they push this driver and have people hit this when they come in to buy one of the "big name" drivers, they're going to be shocked.

2 hours away from watching Matty get fit w the F9 after recording 5 mph more ball speeds than any other driver avg speeds. Going to be interesting to see his distance and dispersion numbers once completed. TWX reviews are so much better than others out there for those of us that look at numbers.

Why ? You've already declared the "Game over". ;)

I need an intervention .

Yes you do. You really do,,,,,,,,,,,, :cheesy:

After hitting the F9 driver I figured might as well try the three wood. That thing felt great and traveled. The face is milled on that also so I’m sure that helps with feeling. So I’m going to order that when Cobra gets the shaft I want back in stock.

Yes. 2.0 tour spec 6X

How does it compare to Atmos 6X and 7X? (Both of which I own)

I don’t have any experience with it the new one.

I have last years Pro 63X tour spec that Cam Champ uses. Nice shaft. Very stiff tip. Very low torque. Low-mid launch. Very anti left for me. That’s actually why I’m not playing it. It’s too hard for me to turn over. I can hit 90 foot high 5 yard cuts all day long with it though.

For a “standard X” it plays pretty firm to flex. Champ uses the off the rack version tipped one inch.

I’d consider selling it but I play all my drivers short at 43.5” so most buyers would need to install an extension or use it for a 3 wood. Lots of people freak out about extensions for some reason so I just usually keep my old shafts.

lmfao.. I'd like to spend a day in Ian Galvin Green Fraser's shop...Dude knows his stuff. Ian would be blown away with the increase in numbers from my G Ls to the 10.5 F9. Looking forward to the dude they mentioned (upcoming review) with 148 ball speeds...talking my game then.

The best part of this is most in this thread were on this driver as special well before those reviews. When Shiels posted his review, people were slamming it and I am even in that group a bit because what works for him sometimes doesn’t work for many. Glad the TXG guys validated this.

As for playing launch monitor, this has happened to me many times. Last year I was fit at my club for an M3. I picked up 13 yards on average over my G400 LST on my pro’s Flight Scope. I played with it for about a month and while I did see longer driver, I never grew to trust it and ended up back with the G400 and the M3 went on the BST. It was an expensive test. When I tried the F9 at PGASS on GC Quad, I saw gains similar but maybe a bit less over the G400. I was intrigued due to the sound and feel. Once I got it on the course, I saw even better results on good strikes but where it won me over was how far my bad strikes were going and still staying in play. This is the exact reason I had played a G400 for almost 18 months.

Yeah I noticed that about extensions when I sold a shaft once with 0.5 inch added in it

I’m gonna really dial in both those shafts and a heavier head to see the best numbers I can get. Both will be played at 45 inches and tipped 1 inch.

On the 3 wood front, don’t forget Discount Dans. The deal is even better on this one than the driver from a % standpoint. Mine is on the way.

Agree with you, I'm surprised the guys at TXG would be comfortable with any of the strikes that produced sub-2000 spin. I really think (depending on launch) that is where things start to get squirrel-y on the course.
