Breaking....Kuchar Calling Ortiz and Paying Up- 2/15

Recommended Posts

I get the feeling the only thing Kuchar is "devastated" about is having to cough up some additional coin......

I wonder if he was gradually devastated a little more each day over the past several months since he bagged his $1.3 mil at Mayakoba, of if he became “totally devastated” yesterday once the s**t hit the fan.

In 2003 I caddied for Miles Tunnicliff in the 3rd round of the Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie. After shooting level par for the first two rounds, he shot 66, thanks to my amazing advice and green reads to make the cut by a shot and ended up winning 12000 euros for the week. The tight bastxxx gave me £50. I’ve wished him ill ever since

In short you can’t trust a tour pro being a non regular caddy

I have no strong feelings on this topic, I would just like to wish all GolfWRX members the very best

It always amazes me when people don’t see the outrage train coming down the tracks. The minute this went public Kuchar should have forked over $50k and said the bonus was always on its way and apologized for the delay.

What is SJW?

It's an ad hominem attack people use (unsuccessfully) to try to discredit someone that has a different viewpoint than their own. Similar to its cousin, "typical millennial."

You say unsuccessfully but I think those phrases are meant to push people’s buttons and they seem to work every time. Someone will always take the bait like you did instead of just ignoring it.

I was answering jmvargas' question.

And I didn't say it was unsuccessful at pushing people's buttons. I said it was unsuccessful at trying to discredit someone.

Personally the "sjw" doesn't bother me. I think it's funny. I'm just pointing out that it isn't a good argument. Anytime you have to resort to those types of personal attacks it usually means you don't have a good argument or you don't have an ability to defend your point.

Very disappointing to see that he caved. Hope tucan never gets a pro's bag again.

Yup SJWs get another scalp...

Thinking someone should pay what is essentially your employee a fair rate for services is being "social justice warrior?" strange

Pretty ridiculous take dude.

Hope he never is on a tour players bag again? Ok.

Pretty telling that a grand total of 0 fellow tour players stood by him over this. You win you pay 10%. End of story.

Some flavor of the month driver.
Some driving iron for Links courses.

A hybrid to save my bad shots.
Titleist blades when I feel lucky otherwise something more forgiving.
A Vokey wedge or 2.
I hate every one of my 17 putters.

I have a serious question, does the PGA tour actually require the use of a caddy? Like if a player wanted to could he just use a push cart or carry his own bag....or is a caddy required by the rules?

I believe the use of a caddie is required, not by the rules of golf of course, but by the PGA Tour.

OK thanks, i figured not by the rules of golf LOL, yes was referring to the PGA tour

To me there is only one question. Did Kuchar not honor an agreement? I don't know this answer.

If there was no agreement then the man carrying the bag should have insisted on one BEFORE the tournament started. If there was an agreement and Kuchar honored it then why is Kuchar being put through this....because he won?

If the guy wants more of the winnings without an agreement then he needs to win the tournament himself.

I think publicly shaming someone into a payment because you don’t feel the original was “fair” after the fact is pretty rediculous dude. It’s a con. How is that fair at all... What pro would want to expose their brand to the possibility of that happening again.... what’s to stop tucan now....

Edit - to be fair I’m pretty certain Tucan is not the driving force behind this whole con. He has had a lot of help
