Breaking....Kuchar Calling Ortiz and Paying Up- 2/15

Where are all the people who said that there would be no backlash over this for Kuchar, and that he needn't fear any fallout or loss of revenue. Sure seems like he didn't need to write a letter, comment twice publicly, and pony up another 45k if that was the case.

Strangely absent. I was basically told I was an idiot for thinking that Kuchar would be heckled, that his sponsors would care, and that the fan's opinions are important and powerful.

There was a post earlier where someone opined that the PGA tour likely intervened and told him to pay the man. I would bet that is what happened too.

 

It wouldn't even shock me if the tour gave him the money and just told him to say it's from him

I think you can assume that the Tour had a little word in their ears and advised them to pay . Now if they helped pay is another matter ! But I doubt it .
