Brooks Koepka yardages

I thought this was interesting. Not so much because of distances, but more because of the specificities of it. It makes me want to set something like this up. It can’t see how this would not help. I have played for year but never created a yardage book. It has always been more or less a guess.

i'm guessing if he feels he may be between clubs -- depending on wind down or into -- you may choose a different club for height or spin.

I do the same for my wedges - really helps to know the distance for each for 1/2, 3/4, and full swing - can basically dial in anything within a couple yards from 40-90 yards.

haha, No. The first thought was "smooth" but small would make sense as well. Golfers are a silly lot..

It certainly could be very useful.

 

It's the ability to dial in those different speeds on demand in the heat of battle that really matters.

I'm more along the lines of his driver ... a single speed. Only, you know, without the horsepower.

I wonder if he makes a book for each event/course. Or do these things get provided to a certain extent? This has got me doing research on yardage books. I am not sure if it would make a difference for my level of play. I am also not sure I want to sit and make a bunch of books for the courses I play.

You aren’t looking at the chart. Its related to how hard the swing is with each wedge.

I'm guessing that SM is small, for a 7:30 backswing; MD is medium, for a 9:00 backswing, then 3/4 (10:30) and full. Max is hammered.

I hit my lob wedge 200 yards regularly....

About 10 feet off the ground and generally 120 yards past my target...

Not bragging but I will then will get it up and down in 4 to 7 shots...no big deal...

That's how I make my 8's. Increased my carry distance tremendously when I made the switch.

I was going to say, my "kill it" swing invariably yields sub-optimal contact. Though it does typically kill my score on the hole...
