I had actually warmed up to Brooks a little over the last year or so, but I’m now back to where I was around 16 months ago in terms of my support for Koepka. Those ridiculous shoes, the all black getup, and that article, do indeed, make it hard to root for him. He comes off like a tool all the way around.

When I heard what the zip tie represented I thought what a stupid idea but when I actually heard the interview I realized what a goob Koepka comes off as. A white golfer putting down the reporter for not only being a 40 year old golf nerd but "like a typical white 40 year old, like." Does Brooks think he is not white?

Perhaps not knowing what that tag is says "you're old," but I think the truth is probably more like knowing what it is and thinking it's cool says "you're mentally a child" ?

I'm kind of shocked by the responses in this thread. Is everyone forgetting he's sponsored by Nike and now everyone is talking about Nike Off white labels. The marketing worked amazingly well.

not really .... nobody here is talking about it to buy any ...its literally the opposite of good marketing...NObody with an ounce of self respect would now be caught dead with a zip tie on their nike golf shoe..For fear of being lumped in with Brooks.

I could hear that butterball, “hip golf commentator” Michael Collins in the background laughing and basically saying to Koepka “Yasss King slay.” His urban schtick was played out 10 years ago.

I'm not wearing a zip tie on my sneakers but i'm also not a sneaker head. I think it's equally as stupid that golfers are required to wear a collared shirt and pants for an athletic activity, especially one that involves walking a golf course in 95* weather.
