I play them and really like them. looks like with wood settings, and lead tape position he fights a bit of a fade and is trying really hard to get the face closed.

Best feeling shafts I’ve ever hit. Mid flight with lower spin for me.

Played the KBS TOURS but the flight was very high for my swing. The $-Tapers sound like they might be exactly what I am looking for!

I play the $-Taper 120 in Black PVD and they are the best black finished shafted I've ever used. The finish looks great and stays in great condition, doesn't chip or scratch like the True Temper shafts do.

Hope he does well. Attended both days of the Walker Cup, Hoylake was awesome. One guy from the US team I would be interested to see in the pro game is Isaiah Salinda, he RIPS the ball. Very impressive.

He didn’t just change everything. Been using at least most of this setup since before the U.S. Am. at Pinehurst. Putter change is the only thing new for this week that I know and obviously the Odyssey is a total Spider knock-off, it shouldn’t be that significant of a change.

 

EDIT: Just noticed he does still have his red Spider with him. I used it for a few holes and the half moon alignment aide he has on it was awesome. Helped my alignment big time.

That new Odyssey spider putter looks like it just has the micro hinges painted on instead of actually having real hinges. Do you think it's a solid white hot insert and just made to look like the retail hinged face?

Interesting to see him play the max draw setting in driver in the other pictures. Draw setting in the strong 3wood too. Seems like most pros like the open face setting.

I have them in the same setup as above (minus the 50°, which I wish I had gotten - they disappeared from Callaway’s website like a week after I bought the other two and went back to get the 50° after regretting it).

 

Great feeling shaft in the wedges. Can keep the ball low, and aren’t ridiculously spinny. I play the KBS 610 in two other sets and was pretty sure I’d found my favorite wedge shaft ever, but the smooth feel of the $Taper has changed my mind on that. The finish seems to be pretty durable, too. Unfortunately, I just haven’t gotten along well with the S grind in the 54°. I am considering selling the Callaway wedges, but I’ll pull the heads and keep the shafts if I do.

Most of these kids are NOT responsible for the media hype heaped upon them. Their sole intention generally speaking is to play the highest quality golf they can.
