Everyone on here saying they arent buying a Costco putter.....I'll bet anyone here any amount of money that an existing brand is making this putter and stamping kirkland on it. BUT BUT IT DOESNT SAY SCOTTY ON IT...O NO!!

Just like Kirkland vodka is made in the same damn facility as some of the high end vodkas.

Just like almost every single TV is made in one of two factories overseas just get stamped with a diff name.

You think Costco opened up their own golf club making facility to manufacture a putter that may or may not sell well? Some people need business school

Whoa. Deep breaths. In through the nose, out through the mouth. :D

I agree. Ksig doesnt make any of their own stuff. They mostly outsource to existing manufacturers. (Except their yummy $5 chickens, but I digress.) That being said, depending on the price point and materials I'd totally buy a Costco putter.

RAM is an existing brand, and I'm not buying one of their putters. You may not be wrong but dont act like this putter will secretly be made by any putter specialist company. It may be fine, putters are putters but I wouldn't expect the quality to match most of the higher end designs. You're not getting a rebranded Scotty Cameron, it's probably not even at TM level.

So like they hired some garbage manufacturer to make and stamp Kirkland Sig onto their ball ? That worked out well huh?

uhh ya it did with the 4 piece

I dont think Titleist sues someone cuz their ball sucks so bad, they sue because its significantly cheaper and performs similarly to what they are peddling for $40/dozen.

Now what happened between the lawsuit, three piece and the new 4 piece I couldnt tell you.

But yes if the original 4 piece was still being made it would be selling like crazy.

In the 1990s, Ram split its company into the Ram Golf Club Company and Ram Tour Balls. While the manufacturing operations still exist in a Chicago suburb, the club unit was eventually sold to Tommy Armour, with Ram Tour Balls being purchased by TaylorMade. The four Hansbergers retired, while Al's son Gary founded Vulcan Golf in Chicago. **The Ram Golf Company now only exists as a brand subsidiary of other corporations.**

LOL. Some people take these things WAY too seriously! What's wrong with Costco contracting with a club company to make a putter? Can't wait to see them!

Buy a German car. The filling holes are usually on the passenger's side of the car. No lines on that side of the pump!

But it's not made because they chose the wrong business partner and factories. Which is my original point. You are saying they are working with Odyssey or Scotty Cameron to make these putters. History in golf for Costco says otherwise. My guess is China Blanks with Kirkland stamped in them. Dirt cheap, stainless steel, probably getting them for $10 a piece if that. And my guess is Anser style and no other option

To be fair the Costco Gas Pumps can be pulled to the opposite sides

Well, let's not kid ourselves. There's not going to be a ton of options. It will be an Anser 2 style, putter with a branded rubber grip. It will be available in 34 and 35 inches lengths. It will more than likely be in a blast pack type head covering.

But, Cleveland sell 100 dollar putters that are milled. Ping has been selling non milled putters at that price point for years.

They may be cool, they may be garbage. But let's wait to see until someone starts rolling them.

You never know, they may be really good.

I'm referring to post #49 where he says an existing oem is making the kirkland putters. So I used two main OEM's making putters which are Odyssey and Scotty. If it makes you happier I'll add Ping and TM to that list.

LOL dude. $10 putter being rebranded by Costco??? Haha!

It seems clear that it will be Anser style. Nothing wrong with that! Costco owes us nothing. They will put a product out there and if people like it they will buy. End of story.

If Costco sticks to their usual pattern with Kirkland Signature, they'll sell a putter that competes head-to-head with the high end of the retail market (call it Odyssey, Ping, etc.) at a price point sub $100. I would assume that it will be a milled face anser-style putter with an insert and interchangeable weights.

They will **not** compete with the 'boutique' brands (Toulon, Scotty, Bettinardi) - that's not the Kirkland game. They usually try to eat the lunch of the highest-tier mass produced good by using their supply chain muscle to build something just as good, with a distribution model that lets them sell it for way less money.

Odyssey is not making putters for Costco. Maybe the same subcontractor that manufacturers Odyssey heads, but not Odyssey as an entity.
