A Ray Cook was the first putter I purchased, but became a big fan of Ping cause my dad was playing one. Could see a Bettinardi in QB5 in the future-Ping doesn't have anything like it.

Nice! I wish Ping still made a clean looking Anser/Anser 2. I don't like all the wacky names they keep adding to the recent ones... "Dale" "Holbrook" etc... how about just "Anser 2" lol

I'm only aware stainless steel, BeCu & BeNi Anser 2.

Yes. They made it before all of the regulation restrictions. I guess I bought it in '98 or '99.

This was a holy grail putter, but refused to pay regular price. So when it was discontinued, found one on Ebay then sent to the Putter Lounge. I have $150-200 max, but it was exactly how I wanted it.

Naah you ain't got a problem. Like Isaac said you are just started but it is a nice collection--- I can say this from experience I am the one with a putter hoeing problem I have over 100 all brands and eras of manufacture

Yeah, remember theses comments when your wife asks why you're hoarding putters. Some of us have more iron sets than putters you have pictures. Others more drivers. Others more putters. Others more of everything.

 

If you're worried about becoming one of those, don't. Embrace it and remember the classifieds exist for a reason.

Golf is a wonderful game. Its competitive and quantitative (you accumulate a score during the round, and a handicap over time). And both can be used to measure yourself against others.

But this pasttime is just as much a pursuit of art. These putters are beautiful. They represent history that will not be repeated - there are only so many Ansers out there from that time period. BUT unlike almost any other art, you can actually use them for their intended purpose. I imagine doing so gives you a feeling that is much more than just "I sank that putt, I got that score".

Impressive collection. You just need more of them. :)

Id say because theyre the same style just different color yes theirs a problem lol if you had different shapes id say you were trying what works best for you. Its ok though we all do that with something in life weather is putters or something else. I have 3 putters 3 different styles. I thought i was over doing it lol
