Yes 10.5 head is supposed to be draw biased.

A Positive is for me, normally I play a powerfade with no trust in turning one over.....first driver in years to see this flight(tiny draw) when asked.....still can cut it, mind you but the tiny draw is my go to standard shape as of now!

Watching the lowlights from Tiger's round today, and had a flashback to the number of right side misses I had with the standard SIM.

If so I'm thinking of switching to that head since I'm used to that shape. The 9° has been crushing it for me but I'm just struggling with the aim and flight. Esp since I've been hitting alot longer than normal

Sim Max is the one I have read some info somewhere. It doesn´t appear to be on taylormades homepage though.

Curious for more thoughts on this. I’m deciding between the 9 and 8 heads. I was fitted for a 9 turned down two notches so basically playing close to 7. Was a little too right biased, wondering if an 8 head at standard would be better

I did 8* up one click in fit and it performed well (still prone to fade IMO). Morikawa and Rory both playing 8* turned up now.

Sim max on order, ad di 6 tx (waffled on IZ)

played 18 with the 10.5 demo .... booooombs, very straight on misses as well

on two holes, my longest drives of the year .. stock ventus 6x

If the right miss is because of a too open face to path then the 8 will be better.

i just hit the ball too high!

I have the 9 lofted as low as it goes.

I have a tendency to hit up on the ball by about +5 deg.

didnt get to try an 8 degree head, but my swing speed is about 112-115, AoA +2/+2.5. Is that enough to make the 8 degree SIM go?

Ball further back in the stance? Maybe you bend your rear leg a bit trying to give it some push. I also had that first experience could not hit it low, could not fade or draw just straight bombs but 7 degree was quite optimal.

This driver has got into my head soon I cant hit it lol. Probably should go back to the traditional ball up front because sometimes I hit top spin shots that just dives into the grass and just live with the fade.

I have owned all three versions. I know... I know...I liked the D, but a swing change is helping me and going back to the Max or the PXG Proto.

Hey maybe someone could help me out

I'm a higher ss, higher handicap player (15) and this driver is crushing it for me. Longest drives I've ever hit. BUT, the fade is real. I'm used to playing a draw with misses been a push or hook... Now my misses are insane slices. I'm playing in a 9° in upright with the weight near the heel, and wondering if switching to a 10.5 head will give me a bit more spin to keep the sidespin in check. I swing my old GBB in 9° and I still get a draw and a higher flight overall. Sim gives me a strong fade, but not unplayable, no matter what I do (5-15 yards worth)

Is setting the 9° to 10.5 going to give me the same result as having a 10.5 head in upright?

10.5 head will sit square. 9 up to 10.5 will sit closed. Since you have the 9, try it 1 click up and then 2 clicks up. Also try the upright lie setting.

If you're used to playing a draw and your path is in to out then you're not squaring the face.

The upright setting has helped immensely, that's what I play it in. I just can't figure out why I can't close this one and have no issues with the GBB.

THE Sim has the stock diamana in stiff, and the GBB I use with Rogue silver 110 in X.

Shaft may have something to do with it. You may not do well.with the weight, flex, profile, or all 3 with the diamana.

Love the club, does seem to be right biased, but able to handle that. 9 degree turned down. Also had 8 degree played around with different settings didnt notice too much difference.

I play a sight fade. My 10.5 regular sim does it without problem. It's pretty much automatic for me... amazing driver. Best TaylorMade ever... imo.

I can draw it when I need to, but I like that it tends to fads in its current setup. It doesn't draw as hard as my 3 wood though... you have to work to make it turn.

Seems like the teardrop from the neck is alot more dramatic than other drivers I've seen.

Maybe not, but it's just something I've noticed and kinda struggle with looking down at it ..

If it's just aesthetic because of the colors than fine... But if it is, could that result in the bias people have been seeing? If the meat of the head is fractionally further away wouldn't it result in slower closure?

But, maybe it's just aesthetic.... I don't know.

I'm a short-knocker , so pretty much use driver every hole.....the fact that it is harder to turn is a blessing...... I setup for a draw with a closed stance and just swing hard.....tiny little draw.....like you said nothing of a hard hook

Anyone have any thoughts on the ventus red with Max for 100mph swing speed? Very high spin? I have a store credit and this is the only shaft/head combo in stock. I know I should hit it and get fit but...

Will be coming from a g400 max with stock stiff shaft which has served me well but looking to tinker. Would have probably pulled trigger already if it was the Blue shaft.
