It’s more a product of them being in a warehouse store and easily accessible, especially for the old who don’t shop online, and said teenagers will probably either already have something better or the wedges won’t gap for them properly. Trust me, I got stuff like this constantly growing up, that just were way off the mark on my actual interests.

If they test anywhere near the performance of the big name brands they could make a pretty big wave in wedge sales. the last 5 wedges I have purchased(PING Glide 3.0 and Callaway PM Grind 19) were all $159 each.....Look at what the KS1 Signature putter has done at $149. At $159 for 3 wedges they could be a big hit if they get a couple of positive Youtube personality reviews.

Not sure about the wedges but a hotdog and a drink is $1.50.

 

Interestingly both the wedges and hotdog are less than you’d pay at the course.

I’m sure the quality of them will be just fine, simply a comment on one of the many ways they will be purchased.

Loft specs don’t really fit modern sets for the average guy. 50, 54,58 would be better gapping for most.

But for guys that play modern blades or players CB or older sets where their PW is 47-48d like myself, those lofts are just fine.  Me personally I wish they offered a set only in a 52 and 56 since I have no use for a lob wedge (since I can always open the clubface of my 56).

True, but you are a rare exception. Let’s face it, most better players who play clubs at your specs are probably not playing these. 
 

To me this all seems like the decision makers are stuck in 2001.

Can't say I'm a fan of wedge gaps of 4 degrees, regardless of whether they are 52/56/60 or 50/54/58, but my opinion doesn't matter, Costco made the right decision here and hope they sell tons of these.  For casual players, or those that aren't hung up on name brands or splitting hairs on different "grinds," these things should be a home run.  Go Costco!

Golf the social distancing sport king of the day , when all else is shut down the links runs on.  Spike in popularity, Costco will sell a s____t ton of these , there is a reason their stock is 349 and some change 

 Chicken bake please and some Tour issue wedges with txxxxx stamp and quadruple black diamonds

These wedges will sell just fine, not everyone has to play brand name wedges.

This is it.  You'd have to multiply the wrx membership a hell of a lot of times to equal the amount of golfers in NA.

i remember when 588's were THE wedges to play and there was one grind per loft for years, You wanted less bounce? swing on concrete and file off where it hit the sole lol

considering the quality of the Kirkland balls which are $12.50 a dozen, one might argue paying more than $20 for balls is still highway robbery.
