That brought to mind the story of Ed Furgol.

Could be real. In Uncle Rico football our team was divided into 3 “cliques”. We couldn’t stand each other but it motivated us to beat the crap out of each other in practice and we channeled it into killing the opposition.

Morikawa just revealed he is going with a slightly different set up(grind ) on his bag this week..would I be correct in saying he would go to an iron with slightly less bounce and a sharper leading edge ? 

 

I know that back in his heyday Watson had a different grind on the irons that he used for the Open, seems to have worked out well for him

Oh yea 1000 %. 6 years of school basketball I played in the uncle Rico days.  I can still name the Richie rich kids on the team that the rest of us hated.   Why ?  They were for the most part on the team and saw playing time because of who their parents were.  We were point blank not all pals because we were teammates.  We coexisted out of necessity.

So enjoyed Gravy and the Sleaze's take on the protocols.  Bubba Watson is on a plane with someone who tested positive, and even though he tested negative himself(and is vaccinated), he's out.  Meanwhile, Zach Johnson tests positive, and is out, but no one who was around him is out.  More holes than swiss cheese.

And it’s a real shame that the Scottish is stuck at an ultra private course for another few years apparently. All the historic links that the Scots, Irish (and Welsh and French) pass up in the name of lucre. Grotesque.

I mean I know what my preference is but I also ain't in charge of making payroll for them either.

 

I can stomach RC if they would let it get fiery dry and running and stop coddling the players.  I listened to the short Harrington interview and it was puke-worthy.  Fairness and all.  There is no fair.  There is golf and getting your ball into the hole in the least number of strokes.  So long as the ball will hold the greens and fairway slopes anything else they find out there is fair as far as I care.

There’s no evidence for that, the rota for Scotland could easily be ten or more courses (it’s frequently taken over parts of two courses at Gullane for example).

Lol. Quite the apples and oranges scenarios.  The French , while mighty on water , were but a Boy Scout troop for an invasion force. You could have transported the whole of France to the east coast  of the US and not taken it over. I mean the mightiest empire on record couldn’t hold it . Right ?   Damage ? Yes. But occupation ?  Nope.  You’re talking about a multi frontal war , with the politics of waring  native nations choosing the highest bidders amongst the lesser of evils , with not much loyalty involved.  The English helped.  But it was an eventual outcome either way.
