What driver shaft are you playing?

Currently,  I have a Fujikura Pro 2.0 6S in my PXG Gen 2X driver.

Once I get my swing more consistent, I am thinking of trying some different ones.

I currently have a Tensei Orange CK in 3-wood and a Tensei Blue in my 3 hybrid. I am considering finding a used Tensei White.

Also, the Ventus Red seems go to with my driver speed which is generally in the 95-99 mph range.

Which driver shaft do you currently play and what is it about it that you like?

If you like the TO & TB in the fairway & hybrids, try it in the driver. You will like it as well. It is the set up I currently have. TO in drive and 3W and TB in hybrid. I believe the drive is TO 60gm, 3W TO 70gm and hybrid TB 80gm. I like the consistency of the 3.

I had been in a PX HZRDUS Black 6.0 62g for several years as a draw player. This year I've almost successfully moved to a fade player off the tee and switched to the Graphite Design Tour AD-IZ 6S. Very different feeling, but I needed that profile to help me change ball flight.

I have a Callaway Mavrik on the way, I will play the same shaft in that driver: Fujikura Pro 2.0 6-S, Stiff.

I am currently using a Fujikura Ventus Blue 5S (non-Velocore) for my Taylormade 300 Mini.  I also have a Fujikura Ventus Blue Velocore 6S shaft for the 300 Mini.  I am getting familiar with the driver and seeing which shaft works the best for me.

Kiyoshi black 65-X. Had this driver nearly 5 years, most consistent driver I've ever had while still being long. I can hit a controlled shot or a high bomb if needed, and it doesn't normally want to go left on me.

1) Diamana D+ for 5+ years

2) Matrix Black Tie for 5+ years

3) Hzrdus Smoke Black or Yellow is the new bees knees

Tensei 1k.  It's giving the best ball speed out of all the modern driver shafts I have been testing which translates into 10 to 15 more yards off the tee.  On the flip side, when I mis hit my driver, it comes off as a low spin hook that falls out of the sky.  I'm going to give it some time to work out the kinks but if this keeps up, I may have to move onto something else.

Was Hzrdus Yellow HC 6.0 for last 2 years now Hzrdus Smoke im10 5.5.

 

It's an adjustment but I believe it's the correct move.

Playing a UST Attas Elements Prototype DK (dynamic Kick) 7X. Pretty sure this became the wind shaft Taylormade Sim Max head.

 

Shaft has a very pronounced Pop at Impact which I love in all my clubs. So smooth and stable. I had a tenancy to hit the ball super high. This shaft just flattens everything out for me. 

 

Elements Chrome 7F5 , also a favourite.

SIM2 Max with a CK Orange 60S. I tried a Helium 5F4 and the Kuro Kage silver 60S but the Orange is just superior in feel, distance, and dispersion.

Just hit 7+ new driver shafts last week. Had best results with Ventus Velocore Blue but they were not much more noticeable than my OG Ahina. Certainly not $300 noticeable!

Playing Ventus Black 6x in my TSi3 and it’s unreal how good it’s been for me. 
 

Driving was never a strength for me. I’ve always hit it long, but could spray it a bit. Not with this one. This is the most consistent I’ve ever been off the tee over the course of a season.
