They should make at least one of either the QBE and Zurich a pga/lpga joint matchup. It will get more viewership and every lpga player will make a much larger purse comparatively to their usual purses

The Wilson golf balls are underrated....they play so well ......from their cheaper Duo's to their premium urethanes.

My first set of clubs, purchased with my paper route earnings, was a set of Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge woods and irons. 

 

I played Wilson Staff FG Tour balls for a few seasons until they discontinued them in yellow. Loved the feel, and no idea why they stopped making them. I guess they're back on the market. I should give them another go.

Wilson Golf does claim that its line of irons has "more majors won than any other brand". Players using Wilson Staff clubs have won a total of 62 majors.

Did you buy the Blue Ridge as a full set from Sears....did they come with aluminum shafts?🤣

 

I was given a sleeve of Wilson Duo Professional urethanes from Golf Town...I liked them.

 

The cheaper Duo Softs are good in the winter cold.

No, I purchased the full set from a Chicago area sporting goods chain, Sportsmart. They went out of business in the 90's. 'Had a "beautiful" brown/tan bag to go with it, and a classic silver BagBoy pull cart.

Mollie's a fool.

Another example how Mickey Mouse the LPGA can be.....they can't find a suitable course to host the Drive On...and are succumbing to Crown Colony's demands to minimize the disruption to the members with no fans, minimal volunteers because of no fans, minimal TV production equipment...no TV coverage, no pro-am, etc etc.

 

I gotta believe this would never happen with Monahan and the PGA tour...and if it did...likely a cancellation of the event.

So a bit more info for the American forummers who may not know about Gareth Bale.

 

He's a 32yo pro soccer player soon to retire. Played for London club Tottenham Hotspurs (Spurs) who are one of the grand old clubs of English soccer but have won naff all over the last 50 years. He then got transferred to Real Madrid, one of the 2 main Spanish clubs and one of the great clubs of the world. Had great success as first, scored a fantastic goal to help win a Euro Champions League title (a really big deal in world soccer) but has either been injured or fallen out with his club's managers so hasn't played much over the last 3 seasons.

 

He has been accused of being more interested in golf than his soccer and annoyed his club's management and fans by doing this in a game for his national team Wales a couple of years ago (remember, Real Madrid pays his salary):

 

So he cops some flack for earning a lot of $ for doing not much over the last few years:

So he is a bit of a curio.

 

He will love swanning around playing golf as an official ambassador and to be fair, there will be plenty of Euro soccer fans that will love to tee it up with him in pro ams etc. He has a golf handicap of around 4. He'll now be really living his dream.

Bale is well, Bale.  Bale plays football when he wants to play, or someone riles him up enough.   He had so much talent, but just seemed disinterested.  Though I guess that's what happens with COYS.  😂
