Yeah, I’m not sure? Seems strange that he would go Vokey when TM designed a wedge after his specific specs.

As I said earlier in the day and the Nike releases seems to support it. He requires more stability and or needs an orthotic that the Nikes don’t support. The Nike release says “we will work with him to meet his new needs”. Have to say that I’m surprised that a company with the resources that Nike has couldn’t get it sorted prior to this epic moment/opportunity. Biggest moment in golf (sports) and your marquee athlete is wearing a competitors shoe… Ouch.

To me, and I don’t mind getting shot down on this, TW got like a flip/wrist snap going with driver.

 

I assume it’s because he can’t, either due to fear or his physical capabilities, to truly, aggressively, move through fully with his lower body.

 

So he compensates with his arms/hands, at impact.

he's always had that basic move at least for the 2nd half of his career, more active right arm/hand then someone like DJ that's rotating it right into the ball via pivot

 

He's got a nice compact backswing there though and is getting the right elbow and butt of the club moving back towards the ball, no issues with getting bigly stuck behind him.  There's a good close up DTL view of a driver swing in the official masters clip

I agree with everything you’re saying. I know they are focused on their current players bud Tiger is Tiger. They need to have a team developing something for him, anything tiger does will be great for sales
