Yeah the 58.12D is one that I’d like to experiment with.  The sand at our club is inconsistent so right now I like to keep the 54.12 for soft lies and the 58.08 for the more common firmer sand.   It’s also nice to have something for tighter fairway lies.

 

 The wedges look great. I’m ordering soon.

When you try to buy it from wedge works. It says black tour chrome and tour satin available doesn’t give you a raw choice. That was in a 60 degree.

Looks kinda like the new ping wedges from the back with the thick toe. Added mass to keep the cog down.

Have owned and played both. I've always been an M guy so I ordered a Raw 54D and a Raw 58M in my specs. But while I was waiting I bought a jet black 58D in the interim. Ended up playing with it until I had worn the grooves out. Now I'm back to 58M and I like it a lot also, but if I had it to do over again I'd order D in both. I didn't notice any real issues hitting flops and chips with an open face, but it's just stupidly easy to send in those scud missile half wedges that bounce once and stop.

This may not be a typical year due to shortages, but in the past, Vokeys get marked down to 109 or 119.

I am always curious when people complain that new player wedge releases don't look edgy and innovative.  It's like complaining that a new MB blade doesn't look like a SGI club.  It is what it is.  A blade is a blade and Vokey is a Vokey. 

 

Your basic wedge looks pretty much the same way it did 60 years ago.  It is a club with a very specific function, and the lofts are basically immune to the loft reduction arms race that has taken over iron design.  You can't continually strengthen a sand wedge because you need it to clear a bunker lip, and anything under a certain amount of loft makes that challenging.  A certain amount of bounce is essential as well.

 

You can get creative with grinds, CoG placement, and finishes... but for the most part, a company like Titleist CANNOT come in with radical changes or they will immediately put off most of their tour staff, which is a key ingredient in their ability to sell a billion of these @ $170 per club.  Even if you come up with some new tech advance that is a step forward in performance...you better come up with a way to make it look familiar or people like me are out from the get-go.   To make a radical departure in looks, it has to be radically better in performance.  A 460 cc driver was radically more forgiving than those that came before...and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think a revolution in wedge performance is coming anytime soon.  

 

Wedges are some of the most consumable clubs in the bag if you play a lot, and there are a lot of golfers (myself included) who are very much NOT looking for different.  We are looking for the same look we know, both behind the ball and in the bag.  The only thing preventing me from buying SM4s from here to eternity is the fact that Titleist doesn't make them anymore.

This. If memory serves, there was about 2 weeks that you could get them at discount and also customize them.
