Anything new with Srixon 2022

Z785s are still working nicely. Was going to consider the zx7 upgrade but if the blade is any indication of what is coming, the 785s are sticking around another year.

Was ordering a set of irons for a member yesterday and noticed the MKII irons showing up in the portal.  New ZX4, ZX5 and ZX7 irons all showed up, there was no sign of the Z Forged MKII right now.

 

Still waiting to meet with my rep and will happily share any information and pictures I'm allowed to once he stops by the club.

Rep stopped by before I was in today and left the catalog.  Since I'm his staffer he will be by later today again so hopefully I'll have in hand photos later but at the very least I have the catalog photos.

The question for lefties is will they make a gap wedge in the 5/7?  I mean the 3 iron option is nice but let’s be serious.  More players would play the wedge.

The AW isn't pictured in the catalog so I will have to ask my rep about that one.

Unfortunately the gap wedge is RH only in the 5/7 according to the catalog. 3-PW is RH/LH.

Just met with my rep and I won't be able to share any pictures, but I did get to see the woods, the 7 irons for the ZX5/7, and a RTX6 Zipcore wedge.  I think the MKII version of the Srixon stuff will be just as popular as the prior generation.  Very clean looking clubs, nothing outlandish in terms of color or alignment aids.

 

I asked about the AW in the ZX7 irons and my rep didn't know if it was cavity like the irons or blade like in the previous iron set.

Same classic shape that's pleasing to the eye.  They have some new (to Cleveland) tech that if it's as good as advertised will make these things spin monsters.

Wedges will never be low spin. He means major spin. 
 

If I was a betting man, I’d say the new tech will be based off Taylormade and Callaway raw faces…am I right?

Maybe something like pings wet weather coating, I’ve heard nothing but good things about their spin while wet.

Sorry, I thought he was talking about the new ZX5/7 irons, not wedges.  Just read it back and see now he was talking about wedges, my bad.

This must be the first time in "new club release" history that so many folks have seen the new clubs and nobody has leaked the photos.  I decided to buy the current zip cores on clearance, due to loving the shape and feel... things only marginally get better, so I figured at my level saving $85 was worth it on 2 wedges vs. the small advantages to the pending RTX6 Zipcore

Where did you order from?  I haven’t seen a price drop yet at my local shops.
