I love my Zx7

2 full seasons with them.  unheard of for me

Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves

I bought my set right when they launched and played them until last month. Went back to my OnOff Kuro 2015 Irons.  That said my ZX7s aren't going anywhere and I'm

anxious to see what Srixon does with the next generation.

Or at least tell us about the new ZX5 and ZX7. How do they look compared to the previous version?  Describe it in detail.

Well, we should see some pictures here soon.  I was at my local course today, and they had a Mizuno M-Craft Type 1 putter that I was checking out.  Got to talking to the guy there who let me know that he is a staffer with Srixon, and his rep was there a few days ago with everything that was new.  He said he will be going to a private club, Prestonwood in Cary, NC for his fitting in a week or so.  The big surprise that he told me about is that the rep had new milled putters from Srixon.  He said that there were 4 models that he saw and actually putted with the rep on the practice green.  He also said that the price on them was $199 if he remembers correctly.  Driver's, woods, hybrids, and both the 5 and 7 models he advised were just beautiful.

Forgot to mention that the release date that Srixon is hoping for is January according to what the rep said.

you mind asking when the embargo date is? Mainly I want to know so that I can time it with the price reduction of the previous model. I need another full face lob wedge as mine is about a year old now

My pro ordered couple Srixon utility clubs and I saw few new mentions of the new clubs. New utility and hybrid clubs will be called MKII. New Cleveland wedges will be called RTX6. I didn't have a chance to look at others.

Sorry guys, no pictures and I do want to see some pictures!

Very little change other than cosmetics/badging.

That's usually most New versions of every club.  I just hope the ZX7 replacement is a Single piece forging and not a "Badged" iron. I avoid Mizuno JPX line and Titleist T Series

for that reason even though I know the Technology helps 😛

It is still single piece forging (plus the tungsten toe plugs), there wasn't any of the badging in the cavity like the irons you are referring to in the ZX7.

I’m not good enough to play those.

Their MB heads are always among the most playable out there. The 965 was one of my favorites.

I’ve played the 7 series for the longest time and currently play the 4-6 ZX5 and 7-PW ZX7. Play to a 11 hcp and iron play is a strength for me but just never tried anything more blade like.

Late late late to the game - picked up a set of ZX5s.   Was perfectly happy with my 565s and 765s; sort of meh on the 585s and loved the 785s. But then I played a round with a guy who was +2 hcap playing M6 sleds....so I figured - he's better than me - why am I not playing sleds too?  🙂  I felt the ZX7 toe is a bit too square for my tastes but I hit them just as well as the ZX5s...but decided to try ultra-forgiving for once.  I'm a convert from Mizuno from the 90s through 2000s and I feel like Srixon simply has "feel" and forgiveness and ball speed better than Mizuno anymore.  Who knows?

Excited to try them - get them on thursday.  ZX5s with Recoil F4s, CP2Pro grips.  Can't wait.

if you can find a z965 PW and 9 iron, maybe even an 8 iron, that’s a great way to try out an MB. That is the most forgiving one and if you are an 11 with solid irons, they will be no problem and you’ll have fun. When you look down at address, they don’t look intimidating or much different from the 7 series.

I tried my friend’s honma blade 9 iron and hit it well just never think I can do it all the time.

Saw the irons and woods today…as well as the new RTX.  New ZX7 is VERY similar to prior gen. They moved Srixon wording toe side which looks real clean.  The major difference is purely cosmetic with the exception being a small ridge running north and south through the center of the back of the cavity to improve imo and create a more solid feeling strike. Think of it as located right below where the smaller triangle stops on current iron and running towards the bottom maybe a 1/2 long. The blade looked slightly more compact than prior gen. Sole is the same and top line looked a little thinner.  Though not quite as much as I was hoping sigh… 😃

Offset is the same.  Still going with tungsten plug in 4-7.  Why change a great great iron.    ZX5 had the same exact look just an overall larger head and thicker sole.  Now the ZX4 is totally redesigned.  Much smaller package and a big upgrade in the looks department.  It’s no longer chunky but rather sleek.

The woods may have stolen the show tho.  Huge upgrade in looks.  Matte finish and looks premium.  Comes stock with new HZRDUS Black.

Liked the ZX5 LS model with the weight in the front.  ZX7 had a nice classy pear shape.  I think these woods will do well for Srixon.

Hope I explained well and wasn’t all confusing haha.  They are cool looking irons  in a very Srixon sort of way.

Not much to say on the new RTX other than some new tech with milling to help retain spin in wet conditions. They’ve managed to pull some weight by using aluminum in the hosel (under) and move it around the head to change moi etc.   Very classy shape.  Gone is the raised bar and fat section on the back toward toe. They look better than RTX 4.  Super clean looking.

Thanks for the info.

Just so I'm clear, when you say the ZX5 had "the same exact look just an overall larger head and thicker sole" you are comparing them to the ZX7 mk. ii, right? Could you tell any difference between ZX5 mk. i and mk. ii, or do they look about the same in terms of topline, sole width, heel toe length, etc.?
