I have been playing around with weights on my MEZZ and am currently at 16g added in the E8-9 range.  I agree that it is way better feeling to me.

I went with the 3 degree on my own. Can’t really compare as I’ve never tried the 1.5 degree.

Went out and putted some more today.

 

I’ve always struggled with starting my ball on my intended line. I read greens pretty well, but knowing a ten foot putt is right edge and actually hitting it right edge is another thing. As a technical kind of thinker, I’ve always thought that using line on the ball would be best for me. However, I’ve always struggled to square up to that line, hit it down the actual line and see it roll end over end. I obviously have some dominate eye issues and manipulate the putter a lot. 

 

Fast forward to today, and I’m noticing that I’m not manipulating the putter hardly at all. This gave me some questionable outcomes. For example, on a 10’ straight putt, I would miss a foot to the left. Yikes. After this happening a few times, I remembered that i unfortunately stand open, aim left and block it toward my line. None of this is intentional of course. It’s just always felt right to me. So I decided to try using the line on the ball. It was lights out from there. I’ve really never made so many putts in my life. It didn’t look or feel weird this time and the ball rolled so pure, end over end. 

 

I am starting to think this could be cheating. I hope it doesn’t get banned 😎

Any Broomstick Mezz users that have tried both the stock steel shaft and one of the upgraded shafts? I feel like if there was ever a version that the stability of the Accra or BGT would make a difference, it would be in the broomstick version. At 48", I do feel like the stock steel shaft has a good bit of play in it. Just curious if anyone has went from the stock steel to Accra, BGT or LA Golf shafts.

Yes. They are half white and half black. I prefer this grip to the "textured" grip. Ironically, I found the textured grip too slippery. Since changing the grip out to the smooth grip, I'm happy as the smooth grip is tackier.

Putting great with the Mezz1. Making a lot more putts from outside 15 feet. Speed control has gotten better and better. It is nice to be able to hit the lines I am seeing. The built-in forward press sets up perfectly for me.

"Stained"?  Do you mean standard?

 

No, but I figured, "Why screw around?" and ordered a DF 2.1.  It's in transit and I'll share how it goes.  The point of ordering from L.A.B. is the non-standard nature of us.  I.e., you may not fit into a 35", 70 degree, 3 loft putter.  I certainly don't. 

 

(If I did, I'd probably go with a Scotty.  No lie: tried a used Phantom 6.5(?) at the local GG.  I was stunned at how well balanced it was.  I was expecting a "lifestyle" brand.  Seemed pretty well put together for one of those.  Still way too flat for me, but I see why people like 'em)

 

The L.A.B. idea makes sense to me.  Even if putting with one seems like someone stuck your palms with Novocaine first.  I couldn't argue with the consistency though.

Just to confirm some of my earlier comments: This is cheating and will be banned. 
 

Maybe it’s PTSD. I discovered the belly putter right before it was banned. For me, the belly unreal. I was putting my best by far. Then it all came crashing down. I blame Tiger as he was the most outspoken. Let’s hope Adam Scott doesn’t win or im in real trouble.

Interesting. I wouldn't say I find the textured slippery, but certainly wouldn't mind more grip.

I did, but it hasn't arrived yet. In my experience, their estimates for production time are usually higher than reality, but this time they may be spot on.

Been test driving Mezz Max and love it, a great compliment to the 2.1DF I already have. I had normal size Mezz and sold it because too small and light for me. Mezz Max is perfect, ball seems go get rolling soon off face and track to hole well.

So excited to get mine. I have been putting pretty well lately with the Mezz, so pretty stoked to get even a little more stability and forgiveness. Went with the LA Golf shaft this time, just to go completely insane.

 

I just crossed 5 weeks, so hoping to hear something in the next couple.

Lucky you. I just crossed the first week. 6 more to wait. I‘ve ordered the same configuration as you did. Did you go for the white LA Golf shaft?

I went with black. I have the black Accra shaft right now and I like the way it looks with black everything.

Had the Mezz in the bag for 3 months now! It has been a big game changer from right out the box. I did go through a 1 week stretch where putting was off, but a buddy of mine noticed that my stance was starting to open and i could not get the putt on line. Went back to squaring everything up and has been night and day. This thing is a serious weapon. Feel so confident over putts! The only complaint i have is those fringey putts with rough behind you it is hard to not snag one of the fangs...have to belly a wedge or hybrid 3 wood option...but for the 1-2 times every 5 rounds that happens it more than makes up for it! Wish they would come out with the textured grip for us lefties.

Playing the df 2.1 and love how stable it is but at times find it too busy and almost distracting when trying to align putts. Want to give the Mezz a try. I know my specs and went on to the LAB outlet and was surprised to see prices only about $50 cheaper on there than if you buy new.

Yep. Mezz is popular you have to dig for a deal anywhere.  But I’ve seen some. They don’t last long though

What are your specs?

 

I went from MEZZ to the DF2.1 and am locked into the DF at this point.  Finally making putts.  I am guessing LAB Golf is going to start to build momentum as more people use their putters and word of mouth advertising.  People have commented at the quality of the roll on my putts 🙂

The MEZZ is an awesome putter, but for me the DF 2.1 gave me more of the feel that I wanted to give me more confidence - I think it is a total weight/swing weight issue.  I have 3 DF 2.1 putters and they all feel different. My MEZZ is a bit light feeling - I added weights (stick on tungsten) and it has helped - I will rotate back to it at some point.

Definitely the extra swing weight on my Mezz has helped TREMENDOUSLY.

 

I will say, if you are a putter who likes to be creative, the DF is the ONE. You can toe and heel putt curving downhill so, so good with the DF without worrying about overpowering these delicate, touchy rolls especially on fast greens. You can't do this with Mezz because the flange are on the outside. I tried and it's NO BUENO 😢

 

However, if you want forgiveness, the Mezz is a bit better - just because the flange on the toe and heel.

 

Right now, my Left Hand Low style is so well suited to the Mezz it will be in the bag for a while.  Who knows if I will be back to the Claw style on the DF where it worked so well but for me, putting is a slow evolution.

 

Learning a lot about my stoke and the styles & I thought I knew a lot...that's what makes putting FUN 🍻

To go with a crazy good putter, one needs a CRAZY GOOD head cover.

 

My last crazy good head cover was done by DelilaH who owns https://girlygolfer.com/ she made my Reno Directed Force based on the 1775 Bedford revolutionary war flag:

 

 

 

So, naturally, my Mezz followed the same theme with the cloud, arm and sword and the 13 Stars

 

Ordering and working with Delila was a breeze. Give her the exact dimensions of the Mezz. Come up with a design and a few back and forth emails with the proof design. The hardest part was the 5 weeks wait list after dropping the $25 deposit but as this was my second order, no big deal - however, all your first timers considering this, it can feel long especially in this day & age of instant satisfaction.

 

This came in today and I am very, very please with the results. The Mezz is well protected in the very plush liniing exactly like my DF. Fit is nice with the magnetic snaps.

 

And it came with a very nice touch, a hand written note from Delila 👍

Looks awesome. The magnets are pretty strong? I have the leather/brown LAB Mezz head cover and the magnets are kind of weak.

Yep strong, I had no issues with the magnets in either covers...well, my Mezz is too new but the DF one is WELL TESTED 😁

Man - the new MEZZ cover is super cool - nice job on that one!

 

I have to second the comments on Delila - awesome to deal with and awesome covers once you are done.  Everything is great.  My DF2.1 cover is stellar  - WAY better than the stock cover.

Nice.  Those look awesome.  I got a mallet cover from Rose and Fire and love the design but it doesn’t fit that great.  I kinda make it fit.
