Counterbalanced Driver Shaft

If you're looking to experiment then you may as well go in the opposite direction profile wise and try something like the RDX Blue, Aldila Rogue Black/Silver, Ventus Blue in the heavier weight classes, or the Riptide CB. If you want to go nuts then the two highest balance point shafts out there that also happen to be very different profiles are the Fubuki J and the VA Nemesys.

Hzrdus yellow or RDX would be my recommendations.  Both can be had super cheap as experiments

Aldila Rogue White is a solid shaft that doesn't get enough credit....IMHO anyways. Easy and cheap to get since they're stock shaft options with a few OEN's.

I tried the RDX Blue on a whim in my Ping G410 and have been extremely pleased with that. I haven't tried them but the Oban Devotion and Kiyoshi HB, Fuji Pro 2.0 (and Tour Spec), and I think the Graphite Design Tour AD GP may be a high balance point shaft too.

Hmmm, back in the day... Late 80's , early 90's, we would just take some lead Tape and stick it at the butt end inside the shaft. "Supposedly", it would help the hands release by having more weight above the hands and stop slicing. Or, at least reduce the slice. They also sold grips with lead weight at the butt end. You could also buy plugs that slipped over the outside of the grip to test what the weight did. Seems like an easier way to find out if you actually NEED to CB a shaft before spending $$$ on a new shaft... <shrug>

I've found the HZRDUS Yellow to be a good performer that balances out good for me.

Great shafts!  Smooth feel, very stable, good spin reduction.  300 series M/L launch, L spin.  400 series L launch, L spin.  I have both 362 M5 and 462 M4+ for my driver and 372 M5 for FW.

How do the RDX blue and Rogue white compare, is one lower launching / spinning then the other or just different feel for you?  I have been in Rogue WHite for a while and happy but have itch to try something new.  Didn’t care for the Tensei Pro Orange

Look at my sig.  If you love the TPO, then the next logical step would be to go with the updated version in the TPO 1K.  Feels a lot better than the TPO ever did and a bit more stable as well with the signature counterbalanced feel.

I can't make a direct comparison, but I will try my best.  The Rogue white I have in a 60x and the RDX blue is a 60g, 6.0.  Flex wise the Rogue actually FEELS a touch softer to me, I may actually prefer the feel.  I had it in a Mavrik head and it was pretty accurate and long, a really good setup for me.  The RDX blue I have had in a few heads, most notably a SIM2 10.5 head and that thing was a cannon, just not quite as accurate, but felt very stable.  It's like a softer feeling RDX black.  It's hard to compare spin as I haven't seen them both on a LM, but I feel like the RDX could be a touch lower, but that's 60s vs 60x.  If the Rogue is working, stick with it, I think it's one of the best out right now.  I never liked the Tensei Orange either even though I thought it could be good, it never really works out.

I haven't tried the latest gen of RPG L/H, but have gamed both gens of the Tour 462 (OG blue/silver & updated black/gold). Both are incredibly good shafts. Very stout, particularly in the handle for heavy loaders (think Gary Woodland) while somehow still having a very pleasant feel.

If I'm not mistaken the Accra TourZ RPG shafts are fairly counterbalanced. Accra also offered the original gen1 unicorn TZ6 shaft in a counterbalanced profile. With the new gen2 TZ5/TZ6 profile launches just announced you may be able to find a gen1 TZ6 CB in the resale market for a reasonable price.

I'm interested in this as well.  Play Rogue Silver in my driver and love it.  Tried the Silver in my 3 wood, not so much.

Ref. Rogue White, the TX flex is a different profile (whiteboard) to the R/S/X (Blueboard'sih). Something to bear in mind.

Rogue Silver & Rogue White TX will be similar. If you don't like the Silver in the 3 wood then Rogue White R/S/X would be the ones to try rather than TX.

RDX Blue will play stiffer & less smooth than the Rogue White S/X in my experience. Both are blueboard'ish.

I had the Rogue Silver a long time ago and it was ok.  Didn't love the feel and dispersion was acceptable.  RDX Blue and I don't get along.  It doesn't have much feel and I was hitting big hooks with it.  I would imagine the kick from it threw my swing off.

Just to update my thoughts on this thread. I have added the HZRDUS iM10 Low 60 TX to my list of favorite CB driver shafts. I have it in my ST-Z 220 driver @ 46" and it plays very well. Tight shaft that you can swing as fast as you want.

BTW, I just ordered an RDX Blue 60 TX last week and will give my opinion on it as soon as I get it installed. Thinking of tipping it an inch though. Anyone have thoughts on that?
