New Tee Bag???

Recommended Posts

Need some help from the crowd.

I have always hated having loose "stuff" sloshing around in my golf bag.  Change, tools, tees, etc.

Luckily, for the last 37 years (not an exaggeration) I've had this little zippered tee bag in my golf bag.  I keep tees, ball markers, and divot tools in it.  The bag has some real sentimental value in that my future mother-in-law gave it to me for high school graduation way back in the day, and I think about this sweet lady almost every time I reach in to grab a tee or a tool.  Years and years ago, this thing was covered in some kind of thin vinyl, but years and use have worn it down to what you see here.  Tees are starting to stick through the fabric and it is time to retire the bag.

So, for those of you that are semi-organized like me, what do you use to keep your loose golf necessities in within your golf bag?  Thanks for any input.

Not tees, which are bulky and tend to get dirty, but all the other little stuff just goes in that small padded pocket on the side of golf bags. No problem, works fine.

My issue is always where to put tees. I end up sacrificing the "rangefinder" pocket on the bag and using it to carry tees instead. Then the rangefinder I clip on with a carabiner, in the case that comes with it.

Lately I've been using those nigh indestructible plastic tees and I won't break or lose but maybe one or two a round. So I can just drop a couple tees in my pocket at the start of the round and I don't need any more at hand. So I probably ought to put the tees in a little bag or something and store them away.

I actually never considered using something nicer than a ziploc bag.  It serves its purpose in keeping everything contained and easy to move around bags.  But this got me thinking. Maybe a fabric coin purse or pencil case?

I've used a chalk bag (rock climbing) to satisfactory results. This is a model similar to the one I have used. https://www.moosejaw.com/product/black-diamond-mondito-chalk-pot_10519074

Currently, my tees stay in the original plastic blister pack that they originally came in (https://www.golfgalaxy.com/p/pride-sports-1-5-2-75-golf-tee-combo-50-pack-w13prdgfevocmb234ts/w13prdgfevocmb234ts?bopisFilter=false&isaFilter=true

I have a few of these in various sizes for different things I carry in my bag. One for short tees, one for long tees, one for ball markers, and one for random first aid crap I carry (band aids, aspirin, etc). I can't stand having things just randomly floating around in pockets that I have to dig through to locate anything.

I have three heavy duty clear plastic bags all around 3x6 inches for short med and long tees.  One more for ball marker, pencils, divot tool and short sharpie.  The clear makes it easy to find the right bag. Tees go in an old Crown Royal bag and ball markers / divot repair tools go in the small "valuables pocket" on my bag. I'll never put anything in the same bag as my tees. I've stabbed myself under the fingernail enough times to not go reaching deep into a tee bag anymore 🤣.

I keep a separate valuables bag that I got in college to put actual valuables (watch, ring, wallet, etc.) in when I play.

I use old Crown Royal bags as well. I carry two or three different types of balls and the TP5X's always go into the Crown bag. Best thing is, every once in a while I have to buy a new Bag..........

Crown royal bag is great for storing tees. I admit I pick up tees if I see them on the box or range. So I have quite the collection. They go in the Crown bag at home. And on both of my bags I have the Titleist Zippered pouch, bought it 15 yrs ago for $27ish dollars, I'm sure it's doubled in price now, but it's indestructible. In the Titleist bag are about 10 tees, 5 ball markers, 3-4 divot tools (nothing better than the Scottie Cameron Divot repair), a sharpie and ball marker line maker.

I keep all tees and ball markers in a sunglasses hard case.  Easy way too access them.

I also keep a stash of Gu's,  Tylenol and a spare range finder battery in a separate sunglasses hard case.

I've found the hard case much better then a bag.

Same for me.  Tees, change, divot repair tool, sharpies, etc. works very well.

Seamus draw string tartan bag.  Fleece lined, they are really nice.  I have two, one for ball markers, chap stick, pencils, etc and another for keys and wallet.

Got one similar, but only 20 yrs old. Make it a point to clean it out every few rds as I have a bad habit of picking up everyone else's nice left behind tee's. 😎
