Well finally got to the range today. Absolutely blown away right from the beginning. I had hit a TSI3 is the past and was impressed but wasn’t a huge fan of the head shape. Well now hitting this TSR4, right away I found it was a beast. Very easy to hit, even miss hits are pretty forgiving in my opinion. But I did what you said with moving the weights, and wow the difference is amazing. Swapping the weights really makes it seem like 2 different drivers in one. Weight in the bag definitely less forgiving but by my eye test I’m thinking 8-10 more yards carrying longer than weight in the middle. Weight in the middle ball flight higher, definitely more ball spin, and absolutely more forgiving. I am new to Titleist and all of the adapter fittings as well, but when I get more time I think my perfect setup will have it so the head plays a degree higher with the weight in the back. Overall though I’m extremely pleased and can’t wait to get it on the course.

TSR4 9 degree with a ventus red is an interesting combo.

To clarify though it is a TR red not a regular. I’ve hit the regular red in the past and too spinny for me for a driver.

Yeah, definitely but I just didn’t like the shape of the TSR2.

Ive got a really good combo with SIM2 Max as it’s paired with a 70g Smoke Green so helps keep the spin down but gives me a very forgiving head!

Just fancied trying something different really as I’d had a few rounds where driver was putting me in trouble!

Oh wow.....first person who didn't like the new shape of tsr2......the tsi2 certainly was off-putting.....either way enjoy your comparison 😉

Makes me want to order now.  I had the previous 4 models and they were all great!  Sounds like this one will be the best one yet, so stoked!

I love mine. It’s been great numbers wise for me without over/under spinning on heel/toe strikes. I got fitted into the 1k black 65x but testing my normal Ventus black 6x to compare but I don’t think you’d be disappointed in it.

I’m a 440cc guy but even I found the shape of the TSR2 to be surprisingly attractive lol.

Would you say the Red TR is more anti left compared to the OG?

My 21 year old son uses now uses an 11* TSR2 with the 55 Tensei Blue.  At his outdoor fitting with the Trackman, the red circle is the TSR2 with the Tensei Blue.  6 yard diameter circle.  (The white circle was his former TM Stealth Plus Driver.)  We have since verified this at the range and playing on the course.  The TSR2 has converted him into one of the better drivers overnight,

Don’t really thinks it’s a fair comparison between a Sim2 Max and the TSR3.  The Max is going to be a lot more forgiving driver.  Didn’t know anything about he Max but I found this quote “SIM 2 Max gives beginners and higher handicappers increased MOI and forgiveness.

Probably a more fair comparison would be between a TSR1 and the Max.

just my 2 cents.

I was told that the weight kit is $200, and will be available in December 2022.

It's probably a lot closer than you think. The Max versions of Taylormade are not nearly as "Max Forgiveness" as say PING or Callaway's versions. I bet the TSR3 fits right in between the Max and non-Max versions of a Taylormade.

The Sim2 Max is 5200+ MOI. Extremely forgiving. I THINK tsi3 was around 4800. I know TSi2 was about 5200. TSr2 is lower MOI than TSi.

Sim2 Max is very comparable to g410 plus, rogue st max, and tsi2. Not on g425 level but only one other driver is comparable to that on heal/toe MOI.

Source is Golftec YouTube. Going off memory so could be off just a bit

Interesting. I've owned and gamed them all actually: Sim2 Max, Tsi2, Tsi3, Rogue St Max,  PING 410+ and G425 Max (as well as Stealth and Stealth+) so was just going off of my personal experience. I found the 425 Max and Callaway as noticeably more forgiving and straight hitting. The rest are a nice blend of everything. Sim2 Max was probably my favorite of the bunch until I got into the Tsi3 and now TSr3.

Still have not heard a peep about my DD order that was on 9-17-22. Really wanting to play a couple rounds before the north east winter arrives.

Same here I ordered Sept 7th and sent them an email last week asking if any updates and heard nothing back yet! Not like them at all!

For those of you who have ordered a driver at a shorter length, what weight did Titleist install to bring the swingweight back up to standard ( or closer to standard )?

I ordered mine at 45” and requested D4 and they installed the +2g in mine. Head without adapter weighs 196g with it installed.
