Much better, no. Could it be slightly better, yes. Just being real here. That being said if I like the look of it in person, my Ltdx ls will be swapped for it.

The name of the driver printed on the crown is the definitive reason I won’t consider this thing. Absolutely hate that. I don’t need advertising on the top of the club if I’ve already bought it thanks.

Where is the name on the top of the club? I only see it on the bottom.   Now my Stealths have stealth ghosted on the top.  

 

ETA. I saw where it was I guess. It is in the same place the Taylormades are.

Well then, you would have hated every driver back in the persimmon/laminated days as they all had the name on the crown.

😁 Very true. Well, most of them. The tour stuff often didn’t. Mizuno Tour issue wooden woods, those were the days.
 

But they were often just stencils anyway. A black pen, solvents, or sand and paint would do the job. God, we really used to butcher clubs. Think I’ll go drill a hole in something for the sake of it.

Ever since Cobra's f9 line, their drivers have been HOT.

 

The ball always seems to jump off the face with cobra drivers compared to other brands. At least for me.

Have to agree here, Loved the F9 and the sound of my Radspeed is just crazy good. Like a bell but with some thud too it, super hot and the fairways are the same way. Cobra is massively overlooked, especially in a callaway/tm world

Rumor is only one color scheme option this time. They may or may not release limited color schemes later on like past years

They usually launch same time as the other big two, early/mid January.

I'm not a Cobra guy, whatever that means, but LTDx was the sleeper bomb of 2022 and ever since 2019 with the F9, Cobra is steadily becoming a top driver mfg at a fair price.

Wait for the Aerojet reviews. I'm fully expecting a bracket finalist.

Yesterdays TXG live was interesting. The boys just got back from CA testing Cobra, Callaway, and Taylormade 2023 gear. Unanimously they said Cobra was the best experience and the new driver is special. Matt said something along the lines of Bryson’s year long hype of the Aerojet is accurate. Someone asked if his new LTDx LS was still relevant, and the response was it’s a nice driver, but clearly implied the Aerojet is better.  They said the entire Cobra line is impressive. 
 

FYI, the embargo date is 1/10/23. Apparently that’s the embargo date for all 2023 gear. The guys mentioned a shared customer, I’m assuming a PGASS, requested all OEM releases be aligned, which apparently the OEMs accommodated. TXG basically said do not go to work on the 10th so you can watch the reveals 😀.

Cobra usually has a separate launch in the summer ie. wedges, utility's, hybrids, but it's all getting dropped on January 10th?

I should've been more clear. 1/10 is a universal embargo date for Cobra, Callaway, and Taylormade. Ping might be included as well. Srixon's embargo lifts on 1/11. This will be the release of everyone's driver and wood line; not sure about the rest of the gear. TXG said someone, a shared OEM customer, requested the date, which the OEMs agreed to accommodate. TXG has filmed all of their review videos and will drop all videos on the 10th making it a huge content day.

They have made some very good drivers the last couple years but have never loved their fairway woods. Hopefully the new ones are on par with the driver. Any word on fairways from the podcast or just the driver being amazing?

I tried the LTDx LS this year.  I was really hoping it would wow me because the shape was about perfect.  But, it was significantly slower than anything else I tried that day (stealth, TSi3, etc).

I have been introduced the whole Aerojet line already (Spain) and they look really impresive. Although it is going to be difficult to remove the LTDX LS from the bag (best driver of 2022 for me), I just hope Aerojet can do it

yeah, i've been in the LS for the last few months...really like it.  but don't love it.  i could stay with it and not be disappointed with it's performance but i am looking forward to seeing if aerojet gets me over the hump with loving a cobra driver.
