Bryson tends to have free range. “Driver sucks”. Then when ltdx was released he already said wait til next year. Its kinda refreshing to get some honesty without backlash.

Thats the guy who is one if the main designers. He has a great relationship with bryson, even caddied for him. I dont know if Id call that a public reprimand, both guys said some things, both had a point and have moved on. Most companies would have dropped him. But now look, bryson very well started something as ltdx was fire and this is supposed to be even better.

You could argue he was not reprimanded (depending on your definition) but you cannot deny he was publicly called out.

Hoping it lives up to the hype but hard to know how genuine Bryson is in his praise. Is he just overcompensating for past comments on previous models?

This started because you said Bryson has free range with Cobra. Thats demonstrably false.

@Red4282 That's Ben Schomin. Not sure if he's also a designer at Cobra.  The Linked article mentions "Schomin is Cobra’s tour operations manager"

I can’t wait for the Aerojet to come out.  Between that and the Cally’s new driver (Paradym) those are the 2 that I’m looking forward to the most.

No, but please get me on there and we will see!! I'll buy lunch!! My main point was most folks watched shiels for his reviews, not his "quality" play. That's why I was happy to hear he's launching a review channel and folks can continue to watch or not watch his matches...My other point was just because someone is a "pro" doesn't mean they can play. And I'm surprised folks are surprised by that. Many pros get in the golf  business to teach and be a part of the golf industry for reasons other than playing. It's just reality.

Well if it's true most folks watch him for his "play" than I will eat crow. I watch him for his HONEST equipment reviews, I'd rather see a mediocre golfer with an honest review than a really good golfer pushing marketing bs. As far as our definition of quality vs mediocrity. I'm not talking about the 95% of overall golfers, i don't even think about the average everyday casual golfer when talking about quality vs mediocre play. I'm talking about mediocre local pros vs good local pros vs elite local pros vs good am's vs elite am's. He's a mediocre golfer within that realm. It can be painful to watch him play, that's why I chose to skip most of his shots and watch Ricky's shots and checked out that cobra. 

 

I'm done debating on the internet today, excited to try this cobra driver. I'll post a review when I do. I appreciate the fairway wood pics you posted.

I’ve never paid full retail for anything, but that weight placement in a fairway says take my money.
