It would be rad if Srixon brought out a ZXU 26* and 29* like they had in the U85.  I said in another thread that I get that the ZX4 kind of took over that role, but its a bit difficult to blend properly when you are going to need to play two 6 or 7 irons and trying to balance head weight with the longer shafts and such.  Not to mention, resale value is hard because not everybody understands the reasoning behind the double 7i.  I doubt they will, but it would be a cool, easy to hit club for a lot of people, IMO.

I think Srixon is playing a game.

The name of that game is...

"How much crap can we fit into the cavity of an iron?"

Gotta be pushing maximum limits on this one.

Agree...these would look great if they just had the trapezoid thing and that is it in the cavity.  No shaded lines, branding, funky angles, badges or anything else.

Is it just me or do all Srixon driving irons look the tiniest bit closed?  I have 2 ZU85 and they both just seem to sit a little shut, and the above one looks the same way, maybe just like 1-2* shut...

Maybe its my brain being scared of going left so they all look shut to me?

The new utility looks good, I still think I prefer the last generation looks wise and tho.

I wish the new z forged had similar design details to the utility.

I agree on the new utility, I prefer the last gen on looks but this one isn't bad.  I own the 2, 3, and 4 in the current/last gen ZX Utility and bag the 3 all the time.  It is a great club.

Seems to me the ZX5 Mk IIs have gone back to the profile of the z545 - wide sole, high toe, less offset in the long irons, traditional spaced grooves and subtle milling on the clubface. Top line looks a tad thinner in the new version. I'd guess the same goes for the ZX7 Mk IIs being very similar to the z745 - one of Srixon's best irons.

The back of the Mk II looks beautiful for a players CB!

I think that I like all the Srixon models!!  Ha Ha, I mean come on, there really isn't much not to like is there?  The MKII 5 series (and 7 actually) are typical Srixon in the looks department.  Classic, but modern, nice angles just friggin awesome!  I believe that an in person visual is in order like always.  ZX5 1st I like better right now because I've seem them in person.  That can easily change though.

These look to be the closest I've seen to, "Hey, we have to put out new irons. What should we do for the this Gen? Well, last gen was pretty good for us so lets do that."

Absolutely, I'm ok with the if it ain't broke don't fix it mentality with these.  The 745's and 545's were excellent.  Srixon lost me with 65 and 85's.  Cosmetic changes to the 45's and Zx irons are all good by me.

I just met the rep at my local store and he had all the new clubs in his car. Zx7 looks fantastic, largely unchanged, little more meat behind the cavity.

Zx5 very similar again, but I think this one looks better than the previous version. Sole may be thinner, or I just may want it to be. Not sure.

zx4 is a whole new club. Looks VERY slimmed down and is a slightly chunkier zx5.

new wedges coming. Similar looks. All the hype is about the new face finish.

Very excited to order a new set.

zx5 sole looks about the same as current zx5. Great looking iron

Yes, very similar, not much noticiable to the naked eye.

Has the offset in the ZX5 been reduced from previous versions of the 5 model iron?

It appears so to me, not a whole lot of differecne between it and the 7 at address inoffset.

Just me or does the topline of the ZX5 MKII look thicker than the current gen? Not sure if I like it more than current gen.

Definitely not thicker than the curren ZX5, if anyting to me slightly smaller.

Saw most of new lineup today, didnt' see the FW or the Forged.

I had told myself that I would not be going for the new ZX5's upon release, tht the new JPX23 and T200 are good enought to get me through most of the year.   Wow...they are gong to be hard to resist.  Not that there is a whole lot of change from the original ZX5, but it's just areminder of what a great looking and performing iron it is.

Also the new RTX will at least get a tryout from me.  I keep hearing people rave about it, I tried the original and didn't care much for it.   But I will say the look at address of the RTX5 is very good, and he mentioned the grooves have been improved as the feedback from the tour was needing more spin out of it.

Didn't have the ZX5 LS driver.  But saw both the standard and ZX7 and love that the look.  No longer carbon, and has a bit of a matte look to it.  But great looking club from all angles, says the ZX5 LS is going to be a homerun.

As mentioned by others, the biggest change is the ZX4.  Man it's likethat friend you haven't seen for a yer and they have lost 40 pounds, you can't get over how good they look and how slim they are.  That's this club.

At address tough to distinquish much from the ZX5, you can but it' not a shouting in your face thick as it's predicesor .   Definitely some help in the cavity, but certainly looks like a club you might think about adding in the 4 or 5 spot if that is typically where you irons start to go a bit wonky.

Also a new star is a Milled HB Frontline Putter.  The typical Anser style, has a 100% milled face and weights that can be changed at fitting, and will retail for $249 a good $100 minimum less than the top of the line putters.  Yes it's a Cleveland, but the looks are premium.

I have a setof z545’s in the garage and they top lines are thiner than these new ones. Or least looks way thinner!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

The 545's had the thickest top lines of all the 5 series so far.  The latest ZX5, (not MKII don't know those for sure yet) have been the thinnest.  The 585's maybe about the same as the 545's.  The 565's which I have were slightly thinner than the 545's and 585's, slightly.  The profile is all pretty close over all, not anything hugely different, but these latest versions (ZX5 and MKII appear to be the thinnest).  The soles in the 5 series have varied more than the toplines to me.

I'm also still gaming a set of 545s 4-PW, and when i compare them to the above pics of Mk II they look similar but that could be due to the close-up angle. But if the Mk II have thinner toplines in person that would be nice!!

Hope someone can post pics of new ZX4 Mk II.

My bad, I had them in hand but I was so intent on looking at the entire lineup I didn't think about pics.  And he told me afterward pics would ahve been fine, but I didn't want to make him upack his car again 🙂

I feel like these above MK's have less offset while our 545's have a bunch.  Thoughts?

The 545's have a little more offset, but not a lot.  The current ZX range is the first to really make the 5 and 7 combo set extremely viable.  Really the only big difference is sole width.  Take a look:  https://www.srixon.com/us/clubs/mens-golf-clubs/irons/zx5-irons/MZX5-EA.html

To my eye the utility looks bigger and has more offset. I love the MKII irons but I think I prefer the previous iteration of the ZX Utility.
