I have finally got to try the G430 MAX briefly. I agree with the other posts here. I think it really can dethrone the G400 MAX. It's better in all aspects. And I owned 5 G400 max's lol

The 430 might be a bit faster but it's hard to say. The biggest difference I see is feel and sound and it seems like the entire face is one giant sweet spot.

I’ve played the G430 for 10 rounds now. It’s knocked the G400 Max out for best driver I’ve ever owned.  It’s superior in every single category except color, that’s a push.  Not a huge fan of either color scheme.  
 

But it’s longer, more forgiving, has superior sound/feel and has a more pleasing shape.

I won't blame you. I experienced the same thing. I've been testing this off the rack, unfitted 430 MAX and it is just beating my 425 and my buddies 400 max all day everyday.

G430 Max best driver Ping has made hands down.  Loved the G400 Max and will never sell it but the G430 Max is hands down the King.  I'm 61 and hit two drives yesterday, one 305, probably hit a rock or sprinkler head, the other was 286 and I'm usually 255 to 265 at best with the G425 Max.  (Yes, I game the G425 Max too with a GD IZ 6) Oh, and by the way, the Ping Tour 2.0 Black shaft is the real deal!!!   Don't let anyone tell you it's too much for the average Joe.  Give it some time and you won't regret it.  Very smooth.  Is it similar to the Ventus Black with Velocore?  I don't know as I've never tried it in the G430 Max or G425 Max, but I did play it in the Sim2 and it feels comparable.  Do I prefer the feel of the tour black over the IZ?  Yes.  I've noticed no difference in the flight characteristics between the two heads with the different shafts.  The G430 Max is higher launching so I play it at 9 degrees, the 425 Max at 10.5, the G400 Max at 9 with a GD BB S.  

 

Go try it.....Most will be satisfied.

End of an era for me. Sold my Max lost weekend. 410 Plus just as easy to hit straight and longer for me.

Played Titleist drivers for yrs and moved to a TS2 2.5yrs ago and spent 2yrs fighting with it.

It was getting me down so bought a 2nd hand G400 to try a different head shape out with more forgiveness.

I always played regular shaft 10.5deg drivers. G400 was a tour stiff shaft at 9deg and as a moderate swinger it should not have worked.. I tried it out and after putting loft to 10deg I cannot believe how good it is. I am hitting the ball 20-30yrds further and with a huge consistency increase.

it does fly very high. Carry is unreal. My bad shot with is is a medium push right but it always gets it out there. Playing it the last 6mths and can’t ever see myself getting rid of it (even if I do buy a 430). Love it, love it, love it.

I’ve won more prizemoney in the last 3mths than what I paid for the club.

I am still pinching myself and shaking my head. Am in late 50’s playing the last 30yrs and am driving the ball far better than ever before (I will admit I did marry the driver up with a new in to out swing and a high tee set up, and it has been a match made in heaven).

PING G430 MAX ANIMAL STYLE

New Paradym took the 400max out of the bag about a week ago. Played nine yesterday and hit it sideways but I hit everything sideways. On 9 I hit a bullet, couldn't be more in the middle and past the tree I use as a marker for how far I hit the drive. Got home and took the headcover off the 400. Waggled it. It was so automatic, the Paradym might be a few yards longer. We'll see.

Bought a 430Max last year and was gaming it with the Ventus blue. Now I’m back to the 400Max with the Tour 2.0 Black which is a phenomenal shaft. Prefer the deeper face of the 400Max over the shallower 430Max head especially if your miss is off the toe. 400Max is still the king.

Been struggling with Titleist and Mizuno drivers the past few seasons, was looking for a Ping driver, @tourpure sold me a sweet Ping G400 Max 10.5 with Speeder NX Blue 60s.

 

Took the fiancé to the indoor range last night, hit three balls with the G400.

 

250yds, pretty, high draw with my "preseason swing".

 

I'm sold.
