PXG Gen6? When?

I played the original 0211, 0211DC and XCOR2, along with various iterations of the 0311P and 0311XP.  
 

All have been fantastic irons but the Gen4 and up are worth it to me just for the ease of swingweighting with the large weight.  No more tip weights when reshafting is worth the premium if you like to tinker with your clubs.

 

Currently gaming Gen6 0311P with Steelfiber 115’s and really enjoy them and hit them well but I would not mind getting the Blackhawks if they get released.

Funny, I'm kinda the opposite. I started with PXG since day 1. Played every Gen of the 0311P / XP all the way up to the G5 BLE's.

 

Tried the XCOR2's on a whim and they were every bit as good as the G5's. Even with them being cast they somehow feel just as good as the forged 0311's. And easily just as forgiving on mis-hits.

 

I think what did it for me was obviously the distance, feel and forgiveness. But to me the XCOR2 Dark's are so much better looking than the 0311's with the same performance across the board.

This is one of the reasons I'm strongly considering PXG irons. I play mine at +1", making swing weight hard to manage. I'm hoping that swapping out the rear weight will help get the swing weight to a respectable level, without all the faff.

I've only got 27 holes on my Gen 6 XP's but I'm already a big fan. My first set but won't be my last. Great feel for a very forgiving iron.

I ordered a set of gen4’s. 5-PW. Just received tonight and unless I can’t see straight , these lengths are all messed up. 9i is actually shorter than the PW. The 5i almost an inch longer than the 6i…what are my options here ? Will call them in the morning

Only fair to link to the page rather than post a pic. Shot of a Proto Tour-1 0311 driver. Possibly a predecessor to a 0317 driver? Or Gen 7? 

 

Or (as much as I hate when people do this, as all clubs look like some other club out there) a Sim/Stealth clone development head? Looks a bit too ‘finished’ for that though, so are we going to have other OEM’s using carbon on the sole the way TM do too?

PXG doesn’t have consistent 1/2” gaps like other manufacturers.

Little Birdie says the all black Gen 6 irons (very similar to Black Hawks) will be released on 11/2. Along with an all chrome Gen 6 as well.

Hopefully a pic of the Black ones will be posted as well. I'm sure it's just the same as the Black Hawks without the wording.

 

Gonna be hard (not impossible) to kick the Black XCOR2's out of the bag though.

That’s what Gen6 should have been to start.  All chrome or all black.  
 

I have Gen6 P’s and a set of 0211 XCOR2 arriving Saturday but may just unload them both and get the all black Gen6.

Coloring doesn't impact performance, they'll perform the same...
